i usually shoot him a stare that could Kill....

follow that with a Lengthy (depending on the situation) Silent treatment.

And when he finally give up on trying to get me to 'talk it out'... theres a little more silence, and them BAMMMMMMMM my vocals chords go full blast

I usually give the silent treatment for a little bit, but usually when I'm mad, I can't even be near him. I go to another room or out to a store to cool off. Usually by the point I've cooled off, we can sit and calmly discuss it with no yelling involved.

I voted 'keep things from him', but it's more like, if I'm mad at him, I'm not going to sit here and iron his shirts, wash his laundry, etc.

But, it's really a combo of the 4 choices listed!

unfortunately, I give the silent treatment. I know it's wrong, and I'm trying to get better at expressing my feelings, but sometimes, I just need to cool off first before I say anything.

same here! he'd rather i talk about it but i don't get it out the way it is in my head, so why bother. and he's a mighty fine fighter...he can spin a situation in which i am mad at him or he did something wrong, into reverse and then i really don't know what to say. can't win.

But I have been known to throw books at his head

what a HORRIBLE thing to do.... to such a precious commodity as Books!!

question to the people that 'hold stuff from him'... what do you hold?
i was thinking about this, and i Cant hold anything from him... not that i would'nt , but i just cant:
food- he's the cook... i'm lucky if i can make a PB&J sandwhich w/o messing it up
sex- our fights (unfortunately) end up turning me on in the end, and ummm I'm not gonna cut my nose to spite my face
air- if he's being stupid then... i dont want to risk damaging any more of his brain cells

see my dilemma?

I do none of those.... I can't stay silent for any effective amt of time and I don't yell until it gets good. So, I give him the 'I'm pretending everything is fine but I'm really mad at you' attitude. It involves scattered sarcasm, lots of hint dropping, little digs here and there, some sighing, and LOTS of eye rolling. And when he inevitably falls right into the trap and asks what's wrong - the obligatory 'Nothing' spoken in a sweet voice with slight smile or maybe a sad look depending on the situation.

This can go on for days until it finally erupts into the argument.
