yeah, I do. I also try to avoid high fructose corn syrup. I also look at fiber, protein, and of course fat & calories.

But somehow those damn Oreos always find a way in my basket!

no, not really, but only because there's no time.

And very often DH does the grocery shopping -- he doesn't care what's in the ingredients are.

I would love to be able to buy food based off ingredients and not for the price. What food being so expensive, I literally don't even bother. Its either eat something that isn't great for you or eat nothing but salads with no dressing. If money were better, I would be on an all natural diet.

Not usually but I tend tomake pretty healthy food choices anyway. When it coems to food thats not healthy lunlike mmy usual fruits, veggies, lean meants, and fibers, I don't see the point in looking at the labels.

If I am holding up a box of Oreos close enough to carress it, I am going to end up eating the damn things anyway so no sense in torturing myself with whats in themm. Its sinful goodness and therefore I shouldn't be eating them. but I do!

I do if it something new that I am considering buying.
I want to see how much of it is 'real' food, and also what the nutritional info states.

When I was doing WW, and I was counting points, I used to walk around the store with my points calculator, checking the calories, fat & fiber to see if it was 'worth spending points on'!

That went out the window a long time ago ....

So, no, I don't look at the ingredients of things anymore.

i never look, I'm usually speed shopping and I mostly just buy whatever is the cheapest! probably not the healthiest philosophy, but oh well.

nope, becuase I don't really buy pre-packaged food We buy organic dairy, cheese from a real cheese shop (always less than 5 ingredients), raw meat, veggies and fruit, and bread from a bakery (once again, less than 5 ingredients).

My few preggo cravings (really unhealthy stuff) are caf-free coca cola and carvel saucers. don't WANT to know the ingredients.... it's all bad bad bad bad bad......

I do look. One thing that amazes me is the sodium level in everything. One can of chicken broth that I picked up had over 900 mgs of sodium per serving!!!! One guideline I read said that the number of mgs of sodium should be less than the number of calories.

We try to have healthy dinners when we cook at home, so we can be bad on Mondays when we go out for wings.

In the end, I just try to balance it all out over time. Can't live on junk food all the time, and can't be virtuous all the time either...

I look for sugar, high fructose corn syrup and anything considered a carb as well as the carbohydrate count (DH and I do low carb)

I try...I find w/WW, I mostly shop the perimeters of the store--the produce, meats, dairy, etc. I buy DH cookies and pretzels (and I'm sure there's not such great things in them) but we don't have many other snacks in the house.
