Where can I find info on magazine style albums?

or the 'soHo' album...DH and I really like this and want to see more samples to get ideas of ours.

We don't know how many photos to pick?

Anyone know the cost?

This may have changed but when I was looking into it, all of the well known companies required a professional photography studio work with them to do the album (iow: they wouldnt work with a bride directly).

The # of photos depends on the company and how many layouts you are doing and what kind.

The cost depends on the company and how much your photographer marks it up...but they are fairly expensive. Also if the company you use designs your album from scratch or uses premade templates. The companies Ive seen only give price quotes out to photography studios.

When you say it's $$, what is $$ in terms of a number please....our photographer worked in debit form...we paid a certain amount, part of it was for their services and the rest we can apply towards whatever we want (ie: all enlargements, put it all towards the album, etc)

We agreed to put the remainder towards the album and family will pay for enlargements.

We paid an extra $1000 for our SoHo album. We have the 9x9 album which opens up to9x18 layouts. We picked about 75-85 pictures for the album.

I think they start at $1K for the most basic and work their way up from there. If I recall correctly, Digicraft ends up working out to $100 per layout spread (2 pages) but Digicraft is one of the most expensive.

Do you think $2000 enough to get a nice digital album?? That is what we have left if we were not going over (which I expect to do, but they are paid in full already)

I guess it depends on your photographer more than anything. Have you asked them?
