where can i get really yummy chocolate? in midtown

so totally last minute but we are going skiing and i just thought of picking up some yummy chocolates for tomorrow... to go with the wine i'm bringing. there is godiva in grand central, anywhere else? I can't seem to think for some reason.

I work on 40th and park and i'm heading to astoria right after work - the broadway stop so anywhere between here or on the way to there!

there is a godiva store ni 30 rock in the basement.

On 49th (maybe 48th but pretty sure its 49th) between rock plaza and 5th there is a chocolate place I pass all the time that looks awesome. i think its a Japanese chocolate bakery type place. Dunno the name though. Their stuff looks so so good though!

I could swear there's a Godiva in Grand Central. There's a Lindt on Madison and I think 43 or 44? You probably don't want to go now, but there's the shop in Bloomingdales...I can't remember the name, but they have amazing chocolate! There's also a counter in the market at Grand Central.

ETA: Oh, Lindt is in the Roosevelt Hotel between 45th & 46th.

YES i had it yesterday - I think it's further up in the 50s right? I'm trying to figure out b/c if i have to take the N,W I'll take it from 59th and go over there.

right, i know about the godiva...i wanted REALLY yummy chocolates. I think there is that other one that starts with an N....... Neuhaus?? i think they are in grand central.

my coworker said it's by the met; too out of the way for me. there is also la maison which is near radio city.... maybe i'll do that or just go to neuhaus in grand central.

i love martha's but i figured dark chocolate would go better with wine for tomorrow.

omg its so good. I am not the hugest chocolate fan so usually dont care about hype with chocolates. I said yeah vosges probably just charges for the name. But i had their exotic truffle collection, and it was the best thing ever lol

I have a feeling this is the place I'm thinking of in Bloomindales. It's been years, so I'm not even sure if they're still there. I have to ask my boss when he gets off the phone. If it is, yes, their truffles are amazing!
