where to stay in jamaica

so we're planning a short pre anniversary getaway, and i have no idea where to go. DH doesn't want to go mexico or dom republic since we've already been there. all we want is to relax in the sun and do nothing else, so now i'm thinking maybe jamaica, but i have no idea where. any ideas? we plan on going in Jan.
TIA

Jamaica is so beautiful, I've been to Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, my favorite is definitely Negril, I stayed at the Couples Swept Away Resort there, all inclusive, very nice. Let me know if you have any questions

It depends what you want to do while you are there, if you want to go to the beach then Negril is the best place. They have the 7 mile beach which is the nicest in the island. If you want to get out of the resort you can go to Ocho Rios, Ocho Rios is more romantic and you can visit Dunn's River Waterfalls which is alot of fun.
I went in March last year, and the weather was perfect. Both places are about 2 hours from the airport.

Yeah Dunn's River waterfalls were soooo much fun, we loved it! And ocho rios has a shopping area called Island Village which is really nice

yes, because you'll probably land at Montego Bay which is 2 hours from Negril or Ocho Rios, that was the only part we didn't enjoy but when you get to the resorts is well worth it

The bus ride went fast for us... it was maybe an hour and 45 minutes.

We stayed at Couple's Swept Away and really enjoyed it!

Just wanted to share something we learned while we're at Couples, if you don't mind which resort you stay you can get a really good deal for the night, it's like you book the place but you'll only find out where you staying about 7 days before your trip, dh and i will do this next time for sure since we've been to 2 of the resorts and they were great. here's the info:

We stayed at Couple's Swept Away and had a nice time too. The ride was long, but the driver was such a maniac that I was glad we got there in one piece!
