I flat iron my hair every other day or every third day depending on how it holds up, and I color it so I need to protect it because its starting to feel a littl frazzled.
What heat protetcant can you girls recommend? I have latina hair-its sorta wavy but very thick and coarse.

Fekkai smoothing creme. it has olive oil in it - it's not specifically a heat protectant, but it definitely does a good job. my stylist recommended it 5 yrs ago and i've used it every day since.

I use organix coconut milk..Its any anti breakage serum..It makes my hair real soft

I don't use one, lol. I just use a leave in conditioner (usually the Fructis one or the Silk Hair Therapy one) and it seems to work well. I too have thick curly hair that is very color treated as you know

Yesi I use the nexxus leave in conditioner and it works great but lately it feels a little coarse (my hair)so thought I should put something between me and the flat iron. Heh. BTW I bit the bullet and got the SEDU only because Im afraid my hair is getting heat damaged and the reviews on folica said with a heat protectant that one didnt seem to grab your hair or damage it and alot of women of color liked it which I take as a good sign because our hair can be more fragile.

I use Matrix-its their straight line spray on heat protectant.

Thats the one I ended up ordering! WHEW so you like it/ it had good consostent reviews but you never know with this stuff. I bit the bullet and ordered the Sedu too...SOOO much $$! PFT buuuuut if it keepsmy hair from getting damaged, its money well spent.
