Which would you have prefered as a shower gift (KandR419 NO PEEKING if you are lurking!)

I'm starting to think about what I want to get for my FSIL's shower. KandR419 is marrying my DH's brother. I want to get the gift before shower invites go out so that I get what I want. Also, since I'm also giving a big basket of stuff not on the registry from my daughter, I wanted to get my gift off the registry. Trying to remain vague about Sarah's gift in case she peeks.

ETA: The knifeblock is also in the price range I'm looking at.

I dunno! They all sound great! I did get all my towels from my FiL's girlfriend, which was really sweet of her. I was really happy about that, because we desperately needed new towels, although I'm not sure she thought it was such a great gift--especially since I wanted white towels. (I like white towels! And I don't know what color our bathroom's going to be when we buy a house.)

Seriously, any of those would make an amazing gift.

I voted for the bakeware. Baking is an act of love. Whenever I use my bakeware, I fondly remember who gave me each peice. Baking is such a wonderful and luxurious thing....definitely something you want her to enjoy with you in mind.

ALl of them sound Great, It was really Hard to choose one.

i voted for the towel cake -- but probably because i didnt have one at my shower and that seems sooo cute. But really, all those ideas are really good -- you cant go wrong with any of them.

I love Martha, so I voted for that, but seriously, they are all fabulous gifts. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Thanks everyone! I still can't decide.

A towel cake is just when someone arranges the towels to look like a wedding cake. So the bath towels are the first tier, the hand towels the second and the washcloths the top. Plus some ribbon and flowers to decorate it.

I would go with the pots, that was a big deal since we registered for the stainless steel and really wanted them!!!! DH was excited about them too since he does a lot of cooking, so if your DH's brother cooks you know the gift is really for the both of them.

Otherwise I think the towels are a great idea too, bc obviously they're both going to be using them and to do them up in the wedding cake is super cute!!
