While i am at it-my update regarding my Doctors

I was incredibly busy last week before we left with work and everything, so I didn't really have a chance to post.

We got some good news-my eyes are looking a lot better, so I won't be doing anymore drops in 5 weeks. Then we cross our fingers and pray. i am hoping for the best.

As per my back, they are not recommending surgery right now. My L4 disc wore out and tore slightly and the area is inflammed. I have an appointment with Pain Management for an intake next Tuesday (right before i leave for our annual work thing in Syracuse on Wednesday)-I have to go for a series of epidural injections in my spine (which is scary, but no surgery!!! The surgery would be either a spinal fusion or disc replacement-they think we can avoid it) Then i would continue physical therapy.

My arthritis, as usual, is out of control. I have baby veins, so they are trying to avoid doing IV meds (Remicade), so I am trying another injection called Humira. The good part is that it is bi-weekly, but it is supposed to hurt more . I am on the maximum dose of the other RA drug for now and prednisone, which I hate. The RA is now in my feet and toes as well (super fun). But we are crossing our fingers and being optimistic. They also gave me Cymbalta to help with my anger issues (DH has been privy to that. Everything pisses me off lately)

So, i will update again after Pain Management! Please cross your fingers for me!

Not sure of your condition - but is your eye issue related to prednisone? That drug can cause long term sight degeneration - for Crohns patients

Wondering where you've been! Glad to hear about the eyes and that surgery has been postponed for now....wishing that we could all take your pain away!!!! My knees hurt all the time so i can only imagine what it must feel like to have your entire body feel like that!!! that the new therapies work!
