Growing up, my dad had a routine of taking out the trash and locking up the house. Now, I always take out the trash (bc if I didn't it would grow legs and walk itself outside) and my DH is so careless, he sometimes forgets to lock up, so I always double check him.

DH takes out the trash but a lot of times he forgets to lock up!

DH does both. I dont even have to ask ( Most of the time! )

ETA - He is NUTS about making sure the door is locked. He checks like 2 or 3 times before he goes to bed and sometimes gets out of bed 10 min. later just to check again

My DH does the trash and I do the nightly lock up.

Dh's jobs are to take the garbage out and make sure that all electrical appliances are shut off or charged. I can't tell you how many times both my cell and house phones are dead because I forgot to charge them.

His 'job' is the trash, but I do it sometimes, and we both lock up at night.

DH takes out the trash. whoever comes in last locks the door.

My DH takes out the trash, puts a new bag in. I lock-up our home as most of the time my DH forgets to lock-up.

He does both, why should I have to struggle with the huge forceflex bulging at the seams garbage. Sometimes I double check the locks even though no one is up here to break in.

I usually take out the trash, but if I forget, or don't feel like doing it, DH gladly will. He ALWAYS locks up as soon as he gets home from work.

the last person in the house does the final lock up......most of the time dh does the garbage, occasionally ill bring it out...

Uh, what do you mean 'lock up?' Like turn out the lights? Our doors are always locked. DH both takes out the trash and turns out the lights/turns off everything.
