Growing up, my dad had a routine of taking out the trash and locking up the house. Now, I always take out the trash (bc if I didn't it would grow legs and walk itself outside) and my DH is so careless, he sometimes forgets to lock up, so I always double check him.

His 'job' is the trash, but I do it sometimes, and we both lock up at night.
LOL my DH's too! He forgets to lock up sometimes, so I always double check and make sure all the lights are off.

the last person in the house does the final lock up......most of the time dh does the garbage, occasionally ill bring it out...

My DH usually takes out the garbage, im more of a fantic which it comes to making sure everything is locked up before we go to bed.

We both take out the trash...though he probably does more than me. But our doors lock automatically, so neither one of us worries about it.

DH used to take out the trash, but now that we moved we both do it equally. As far as locking up goes, we both forget a lot, but he's probably a little better than I am.

Our door is always locked. We live in an apartment building on the 4th floor. DH always takes out the trash because I hate going up and down the stairs.
We only put the chain on the door at night and I am almost always the one to do that, unless I forget. But we live in a secure building so I don't even think it's necessary. The only time I feel it must be done are the very rare occasions when DH is out of towm.

My husband typically takes out the trash -- usually because I remind him to do it. But I almost always lock up and set the alarm. He'd leave the door unlocked overnight otherwise!

DH does both but I have to 'collect' the trash, change all the bags, and get it all ready to go.
I'm sure he's thankful that I'm not in charge of locking up!!
