I have posted this before, but I think its a timeless issue. Who does what in your home? When we first moved in together, DH and I quickly learned that being totally laid back about chores and not having roles just DOESN'T WORK FOR US. I'd be the one to do everything! We are both very busy with our jobs, so, we each have our own duties.
laundry, cooking, cleaning (we also have a cleaning person every 2 weeks), paying all of the bills/mortgage; dishes; make the bed and vacuum.
folds the laundry, picks up/drops off stuff from dry cleaners, takes out the garbage; change the cat litter; and cleans the bathroom as needed

well, it's pretty well split-up....
I'm the 'chef', and DH is the 'sous-chef'. generally, I do more of the cooking for a dinner, and DH does more cleaning (dishwasher, pots....)
DH takes out the trash, and cleans the bathroom and bedroom. I clean the kitchen and the living/dining area... Lately, we're both doing laundry. I do the food shopping, and pay about 70% of the bills. We both take care of the cars...

hmmm reading your replies makes me think I'm getting the shaft over here!
all of the household cleaning (bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen), my laundry, most of the cooking
his laundry, taking out trash, accumulating trash , some cooking, and LOTS of eating
oh and sometimes we go food shopping together, but DH likes to go solo if I whip out my coupons and crazy grocery lists.....I can easily take an hour in Waldbaums!

We're both pretty busy at work so its hard to do household chores. We send our laundry to the cleaner and cleaning lady to come to our apt every twice a month to clean. Its not that we're rich, we just have no time. If we do, I cook, DH clean and throw the trash out....or MIL will come and help us organize.

DH...all cooking, grocery shopping (i'll go with him), taking the garbage to the dump (i'll do it sometimes)..garbage collection isn't included in our ridiculous tax hikes
ME: cleaning, laundry, mowing the lawn (Dh will do...but not as good as i'd like), bills
TOGETHER...take care of the dogs, cars, yard work, other assorted maintenance...although i am usually the boss of the project..haha

I do ALL the Cleaning, Vacumming, Dusting..etc. I Do All our Bills
He does the Cooking, Takes out the Garbage.
We try to do Laundry together.....most of the time we do. We both do the change the Cat Litter

I tell you, you ladies have it good. I do mostly EVERYTHING in the house bc DH has a more demanding work schedule then me
Cooking, cleaning (entire house), laundry, taking out garbage, mowing the lawn, maintaining the property, food shopping, pay taxes on the house, pay most household bills, vacuum, making of the bed
dishes, weedwacking & sweeping up of the property, pays the mortgage & some household bills, fixes things that break

I'd say we're 50/50 really... For the most part, I do the cooking, cleaning, laundry He does the bills, trash, house maintainance. He helps me with cleaning alot too. We have too many damn dusty rooms and I work entirely too much to do it all myself

Me- cooks sometimes, does all laundry, cleans the house

You guys are spoiled rotten! I too am getting the SHAFT!
Daily duties:
Work 9 to 5. Do all the cooking, mild cleaning, food shopping, laundry, bring baby to daycare, pick up baby from daycare, change, feed, bathe, read to baby and put her to sleep. Oh and don't forget night feedings & getting up to soothe her back to sleep.
Work from home a lot, sit on couch, scratch b@lls, fart, make me smell the fart, laugh at fart, call friends & tell them about the fart. Play with baby. Laugh at baby's farts. Ask for sex.
BUT he does pay for a cleaning lady once a week & pays all the bills except for my cell & credit card. And he bought me a REALLY nice new car recently. I guess its all about bartering....

cleans the house (dust, vacuum, does the dishes, washes the floors, makes the bed, clean the bathroom) I do the laundry, fold the laundry, dump all the garbages, take out the recyclables, I am in charge of making sure the bills get paid (I don't actually pay them, but DH won't pay them unless I ask him 4 times). I also do all the stressing.
DH does the cooking about 50% of the time and we eat out the other 50%. DH takes out the garbage, and does the bills. He also makes a mess, and he just picked up a really great volunteering position as a wall flower on in my living room since we bought our new TV.

Same here Laundry Cooking, Cleaning (Kitchen, Bathroom, Etc), Dishes, pays some bills Pays some bills, enjoys organizing his things (therefore making a mess elsewhere)
