Who got married 5.26.12?

I cancelled my wedding which was scheduled for 5.26.12 at Chateau Briand. Chateau says there was a tiny, cheap wedding that re-booked my date... this is affecting my possible refund of which I put a lot of money down! Wedding had to be cancelled due to the grooms father getting very sick... anyone know if this information Chateau is giving me is true?

I'm so confused the fact that they were able to book a party on that day should be enough to give most of ur money back! How rude of them!,

Once you cancel, if another party books for a similar amount, you can get your money back. They're telling her it was tiny and cheap, in effect to tell her she can't get the $ back.

I don't know of anyone with that wedding date. I wish you the best of luck. Die to familycircumstnaces I had to reschedule my wedding and my first hall really treated us like crap over it and we had to get a lawyer involved.

Thank you for responding! My FIL ended up passing away... and me and my fiance are no longer together... Still fighting with the hall for the money, as I had the biggest room booked and it was very doubtful a wedding was booked for less than HALF the price of mine... time to get a lawyer involved I think....
