How close are you with them? If you have a decent relationship with them, go ahead and ask. If not, it might be a little awkward, but I think it's totally plausible for you to ask for some help.

3 of them are my sisters (who agreed to chip in), 2 cousins, the brides BFF and 2 of her FH's cousins. I feel OK asking my cousins and the BFF, but weird asking her FH's side.

I was thinking of saying something like...'If you are unable to contribute monetarily, then maybe you can help with the set up, centerpieces or organizing the games.' Does that sound OK?

two of my BMs and my MOH planned the whole thing but my bubbie (g-ma) and my mom footed the bill

for my cousins shower coming up... my aunt is paying for everything... but we are all going to set up and coming up with the games etc...

I only had a MOH. I am also the only daughter and mom was very excited I was finally getting married at 37.
Shower was originally at a restaurant, but moved to MOH house. If it had been at restaurant, mom was going to pay for that and MOH was covering favors, decor, etc.
In the end, mom paid for all the food. MOH hosted at her home and paid for favors/decor.

my mom paid for the restaurant and my MOH and BMs chipped in for the flowers and favors!

my parents paid for most of it.... My BP was young, the oldest was 20 so they really couldnt afford that much... MIL told my mom that she would give money for it, but that has yet to happen.

ETA:
My MOH and other SIL got the little stuff for the BP and me, and inlaws and MOH and SIL did my wiching well and all that stuff.... they helped my mom with everything else.

Mostly my mom and MIL...but BMs contributed some.
