Who watches the Olympics???

yes and i'm obsessed. thank god i am off for the summer because i have been up to 2 AM watching everything. i have been obsessed since i watched Mary Lou Retton win in 1984 (I had a copy of her leotard and the Wheaties box with her on it) and Janet Evans kicking *** in Seoul, '88. it's a sickness...

I love watching the Olympics.

DH hates it b/c we're doing massive amounts of work to our house right now and I barely listen to him at night when he talks about it b/c I'm glued to the tube.

I LOVE!!!!! the Olympics. i'm not much of a sports person but I just love the best of the (non-professional) best competing against the best in other countries... Plus you can see a bunch of sports all at once. Some of the races have been SO CLOSE and exciting! Go world records

we've been watching! It's pretty exciting.

Nastia is nasty and never smiles! I wanted Shawn to win the gold! Arghhh! I guess Nastia was better though but Shawn is just so cute. Also the Chinese were given scores that were WAY too high!

awww nastia did get very emotional when she won though. Everytime they showed during the competition she was actually with her eyes closed and praying. Its probably just how she gets into focus. But she cried so much and then even after she won they interviewed her later and she kept smiling but crying at the same time. Also when the chinese girl who won the bronze was gonna walk off the stage after everything nastia pulled her back so they can all take pictures together. Shawn did amazing too though, she should be proud. She did mess up a little bit on the vault and a little bit on beam so those little deductions effected her since nastia didnt mess up at all but still was very close behind. Nastia just did great and landed everything perfectly and did so well. I do understand what you're saying bc when the russian girl was done with uneven bars she jumped up for joy and ran and hugged her coach and smiling so much, i said wow she is the only gymnast who has done that. Most have been so serious but everyone i guess has their own way of focusing on the task. They say that shawn likes to be off on her own and not talk to everyone else, and she doesnt even look at the scores.

I love the olympics!! I am so proud of Team USA!! We rock this year!!!!!

I watch them, I just wish the good stuff wasn't on so late! This week has been rough.
I'll watch pretty much any sport though.
But the Olympics makes me feel like a waste of space, maybe I should have tried harder when I played sports. Annnd I used to feel good about how in shape I was, olympians make me feel lazzzyy.
