Just curious to see who were people's favorite vendors. I have to say, I was thrilled with most of mine but my favorites were:
Laura from LA Productions (DOC) - she was amazing. Not only did she do an amazing job as my day of coordinator but she has the best personality and added so much to our special day.
B rett M atthews (photography) - We looooove our proofs, and the day of, the photography team was so unassuming, professional, and gracious. Our proofs are artistic, creative, and beautiful.
Get in Tune (DJ) - I have NEVER seen a dance floor so packed. Ours was packed the entire night and people are still raving about how much fun they had. Get in Tune was great to work with and did a phenomenal job keeping the party going all night.
Keri Berman (make up) - I had been FREAKING out about make up and went for a zillion trials (the results of all of which made me cry). Keri did me, my mother, and sister. She did different work on all of us but we were all incredibly happy with the make up and it stayed all night! I felt so comfortable and got so many compliments. My sister's friend is a model and she said that our 3 make up jobs were the nicest she had ever seen.

Re: Who were your top vendors & why?
My top vendors were
Elegancia Entertainment - my DJs...they really handled the party so well... they made me feel at ease during the whole planning part (especially since I'd had bad DJ experiences with the e-party and the shower!) I was so happy with them every step of the way.
SandCastle - my guests LOVED everything about the place... they really went above and beyond anything I expected
DUET!!!! Made me feel like a movie star all day and night with my own little personal papparazzi! I love my proofs and I can't WAIT to see my video!

Re: Who were your top vendors & why?
My top vendors...the first two that come to mind are (like everyone else says)
OKSANA - because...well...she rocks. She put up with my mother trying to tell her how to apply makeup, my father calling evern 30 seconds to remind me that I was a minute off schedule and made me feel calm and look beautiful.
CLASSIE SOUNDS, my DJ. I knew they were awesome to begin with as I've known one of the owners for about 10 years and I know what a workaholic he is, but when one of my more...how can I say this...discriminating guests hired them on the spot for another function I knew they were the key that made my wedding such a fun event.

The Metropolitan and our florist Simply Elegant. For the life of me I can't figure out why more people for the boards don't use either of them!
Oksana- she was awesome and did the best makeup.. she was able to cover up flaws on my face and the makeup lasted throught the whole wedding day(10am til Midnight)

Re: Who were your top vendors & why?
Thatched Cottage- All of my guests were blown away by the food. They really made my cake perfect too. I had chosen to have icing flowers (why?) on my cake, but the pastry chef hated the way it looked. My banquet manager ran upstairs before the guests got there to ask if they could put real flowers on the cake instead. I said 'Sure, do whatever you want!' (Crazy me!) But the cake was a highlight of the wedding! It is the prettiest cake! I am so glad I let the Thatched Cottage use their own judgement!
Long Island Sound- Chris the MC was FANTASTIC! He kept the party going and the music was great. We had a plasma tv screen, and Chris was walking around snapping candid shots of everyone and putting it on the screen all night long. It was great! We also had a montage of my husband and I as children all the way up until now and that was a huge hit with guests.
Hair by Christine- She turned my usual mop of very limp straight hair into a gorgeous hairstyle. I was so pleased about how I looked.
Make up by Marie Katz- Again I was so amazed at how beautiful I looked. I never wear make up and Marie did such a wonderful job. Everyone kept telling me how great I looked.
Marco Photography- Marco was great! My sister (my MOH) HATES photos, makeup, weddings etc. She didn't smile for the first few pictures, but Marco really did amazing work getting her to lighten up and laugh. He turned a potential disaster into some really great photographs of my sister and I that I am proud to display. (Instead of her usual grimace and various nasty faces.)
All in all, I was ecstatic about how my wedding turned out. I could have never imagined that it would be so much fun!

Re: Who were your top vendors & why?
Hair and make up Jacqueline Nicole and Tare Lei
These two girls were amazing and made me calmer then I thought I would ever be on my wedding day...they followed me around when I was freaking out, trying to make me 'perfect' ..they were so sweet and really like 'one of the girls' ...
I never could have calmed down enough to GET married if it wasnt for them...
Also not really a vendor per say , but my deacon was amazing, he calmed us down, made us smile and everyone loved him.
After that it was the Watermill by far....They were 120% on top of everything. I dont even remember seeing them, yet they are in all the pics and they did the most amazing job

I liked the Metropolitan - their minimum was too high for us
We loved our DJ - Mike D. from L&S Entertainment and I loved our florist - Country Arts in Flowers.

Re: Who were your top vendors & why?
Stewart Manor Country Club was our best vendor; two words ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
Aristocrat Productions- DJ - He went out of bussiness I heard but he was incredible. My brother recommended him because he saw his work when he was working at Jericho Terrace. He played everything we requested, my jewish boss and his wife did not stop dancing salsa and merengue all night long.
Personal Video- Mike was also ABSOLUTELY AMAZING; I had my video maybe two months after the wedding and I can't stop watching it still. It made people cry! I left everything up to him when he asked to pick the songs for the video and it just came up perfect

Re: Who were your top vendors & why?
All of them but transportation but even that worked out due to a great driver! But I didn't appreicate the bait and switch on the car- And I thought I checked the contract carefully. Kelly's cab neglected to send the return cars even though I already paid in full and gave a gratutity!!!!
On to positives USMMA-Melville Hall- the tops, the best, perfection- I love my banquet manager; it was like my dad threw us a party. I even saw him shed a tear or two. The cake was a total surprise- I loved it. We are going back for my grandma's 90 birthday party in Nov- I can't wait!
April from Creative Hair Designs- AMAZING- I loved my hair and my sisters plus she curled Grandma's for free. She is a gem. I wouldn't have gotten dressed if it wasn't for her figuring out my gown for everyone.
Duet- Alberto and Gio were called the 'paparazzi' all night- everyone loved them. I saw the guests even take pics of them!
Jenn from Jenn Blossoms- decorated my whole hall and my personal flowers were gorgeous-all at bargin prices.
Judith Garner- WHAT A DOC! She saved the day more than once. And helped decorate the whole hall!!!!!
Msgr. Cooney- he told jokes, he called me'Kristen' instead of 'Christine' which he did all through high school for some reason which totally broke the ice in the beginning. He made the ceremony touching and memorable.
Kevin Connelly- bag piper- awesome!
Kameleon Orchestras- The best band ever!!!! I have seen so many wedding bands and they were the greatest- packed floor all night long!
Oh my God, this is like a reveiw!!!!!

Re: Who were your top vendors & why?
My top vendors were. I would recommend all of my vendors. They were pretty much all terrific, expect for my photographer. She was so so. She took very average, basic pictures. There wasn't any close ups a (we had to zoom into a picture for the thank you). In some of the pictures, my shoulder is positioned weird and I wasn't that crazy about some of the poses. I am glad she wasn't too expensive. The pictures came out good, but they weren't anything out of the ordinary. None of them really stand out, like I was hoping they would. She talked a good talk, but, she couldn't walk the walk, if you know what I mean. My DH thought she was great though. She was (atleast to me) very boring and basic.
1. The Crest Hollow Country Club- They were amazing! They were very accommodating, they went out of their way to please us, they threw in extra things. The hall was beautiful and their staff was amazing as well! They made my wedding day perfect! They were outstanding!!! 2.DJ's of The World- (DJ Paul) He really put on a show and really nice, he bent over backwards for us! 3. Infinite Video- He was so nice and did an amazing job on my video and they were very accommodating! 4. Burton's Florist- They were on time, very nice and made my flowers look beautiful! 5. Cruise Control Limo's- They were prompt and very accommodating. 6. Renta's Boutique- They were very helpful and did a great job with my alterations.

Re: Who were your top vendors & why?
Crescent Beach Club: They were absolutely wonderful. I couldn't have imagined a better place to get married. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the setting was beautiful. Nothing went wrong that day. The staff really knows what they're doing. We ate, drank, and danced, and we even had 20 minutes to ourselves in the bridal suite where they brought us everything from the cocktail hour. I cannot recommend them enough.
Ken James Orchestra: We worked with Bruce Saunders, who was wonderful. My husband, who has a great ear for music, chose them and we couldn't have been happier. They were amazing. Every single guest who came up to us could not stop raving about the band.
Rabbi Roger Ross: He was really easy to work with and very flexible in terms of the type of ceremony we wanted. He was funny, gave great explanations, and said some really nice things about marriage. The ceremony was wonderful and we received many compliments on it.
