Who were your top vendors & why?

Original post by DMcK

Just curious to see who were people's favorite vendors. I have to say, I was thrilled with most of mine but my favorites were:

Laura from LA Productions (DOC) - she was amazing. Not only did she do an amazing job as my day of coordinator but she has the best personality and added so much to our special day.

B rett M atthews (photography) - We looooove our proofs, and the day of, the photography team was so unassuming, professional, and gracious. Our proofs are artistic, creative, and beautiful.

Get in Tune (DJ) - I have NEVER seen a dance floor so packed. Ours was packed the entire night and people are still raving about how much fun they had. Get in Tune was great to work with and did a phenomenal job keeping the party going all night.

Keri Berman (make up) - I had been FREAKING out about make up and went for a zillion trials (the results of all of which made me cry). Keri did me, my mother, and sister. She did different work on all of us but we were all incredibly happy with the make up and it stayed all night! I felt so comfortable and got so many compliments. My sister's friend is a model and she said that our 3 make up jobs were the nicest she had ever seen.

Crest Hollow- They were amazing. Definitely went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The bridal assistant Sandy and the maitre'd Mike were awesome. My guests were so impressed....I'm still hearing about it. Just last night someone told me it was the best wedding they've ever been to. What a major compliment!

Timeless Treasures- I am so glad we went with Ray. I almost didn't even meet with him because I thought his office was too far. This is one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. We are thrilled with the video!
I can't say enough about Ray. He is the best!

I was so happy with almost all of ours, but I think I have had the most rave reviews about our band, The Projekt. I was also extremely happy with the Hamlet and Flower Michele. I'm reserving judgement on photo & video until I see proofs & the video.

North Ritz Club- they were truly amazing in every aspect!

Patken- my photos are awesome, Vinny and Andy were so awesome to work with and they made the pic taking so quick!

In The Mix DJ- all I asked of them is that they keep the party dancing, I wanted the dance floor full all night, and It was!!

all my vendors were great!!

Phyllis Limmer (gownfind.com) - Gave me a great price on my dress and did a wonderful job on the alterations. Also saved my butt with my undergarments.

Snapper Inn - John (GM) and the staff were wonderful. The service was great and the food was out of this world. People are still talking about it a month later!

My favorite vendors by far were....

- Franklin Square Photography & Videography. Their work is amazing not to mention their personalities are the BEST! We loved them from the moment we stepped in their studio. DH & I are both uncomfortable in front of the camera, but with them...it was like being with friends. We plan on having all future photographs & video done by them. Guaranteed!

- Bobby Suss-Koyler our florist. AMAZING! I was so excited! His work is so artistic! Bobby managed to capture my dream flowers!

- Westbury Manor - What can I say! They treat you like royalty from the moment you walk in. All our guests cannot stop raving about the WM...the food, the grounds, the service... all AMAZING!

- Father Tom McCormick, what a sweet wonderful man. Our prayers were answered when we found him. Father Tom is such a captivating speaker. Someone I hope to keep in touch with for years to come.

Lilac Florist - AMAZING!!! This was my star vendor of the day. All the aggrevation leading up to the wedding and OMG did they deliver! DH and I couldn't stop talking about the flowers on the Honeymoon.

Photograhper Jay Sibrisiki and his videographer - Although we won't have our proofs until next week, he made the absolute best out of a hairy situation (ugh, no pun intended, read my review to understand). I was two hours late b/c of unforseen circumstances in the morning.

Ken James Productions - Although many of our requests were 'ignored' They were phenominal! The floor was packed all night and everyone is still raving about the music.

ETA: My Sister's Sister in Law - She was my savior - If she hadn't been there to do our hair, I don't know WHAT we would have done!

All of our vendors were great, but the 2 best so far (haven't seen actual proofs or video yet) were

The Riviera - they gave us everything we wanted and more, I was asked a million times if I needed anything and Robert Jay and Tara were phenominal.

Times Square Orchestra - EVERYONE was up dancing. and when I say everyone I mean everyone, my grandmother in a wheelchair and my 90 year old great aunt with a walker. A bunch of people told me at the wedding I don't normally like bands and these guys are great.

Gerry Finlay & The Cara Band - they really made the wedding. The dance floor was packed all night and they played everything we asked for.

Timber Point - The service, food, decor - everything was exactly what I hoped for. The basement was flooded and the bridal suite was leaky but it didn't ruffled them one bit and our guests had no idea!

I always thought the music and venue make the wedding, and in our case, they definitley did.

Other outstanding vendors were Audrey's, M&F Florist, Laura at LA Productions, Adrianne's Bridal Salon and Park Avenue Studios. They all helped to make it such a magical day
