Who's a boater?

As summer comes closer and after reading about Tracy's request to live near the water I was thinking... who among us are boaters?

Where do you boat to?

DH and I love to go out on the boat, but we don't really have friends who boat. Well not locally anyhow. I always wanted to be like my parents, meeting friends out on our boats and spending the day on the bay with friends.


We love to hit Fire Island... Flynns, Ocean Beach, Kismet, Atlantique. Or anchor out at Sailors Haven. When I was young my parents would raft out there, 5-6 boats together.

We go over to hemlock cove most of the time........it's 10 mins tops for us to get there and we know tons of people who go over there

Us. DH likes to go to Freeport and for concerts we sometimes anchor in Zach's Bay.

We are !! We dock our boat in Mastic beach. We like to take it to great gun, westhampton beach, and davis park!

Boat should be in mid May, after that let me know when you want to go. We're around about every other weekend, have to split time at the NJ Shore to keep DH happy. LOL!

Same here...we would love to own a boat...but that is far down the road - DH wants to buy a sailboat..I tell him when he either makes his first million or hits the lottery to go for it...

But would love to tag along with anyone who will have us

DH and I love boating but our boat is in Vermont and kinda sunk in the beginning of last summer. We are still trying to get it running again. . If your ever looking for some first mates lets us know!!! LOL

Thanks for the enthusiasm. Seriously let me know this summer when your coming out and if we are around we will take you out. We can go to Fire Island for dinner or anchor out.

It is an outboard and since it's in Vermont we only go on weekends and the month of July. While we were in NY we had a bad storm upthere that raised the lake level. My neighbor who takes keeps an eye on them for us saw our boat and my brothers boat still attached to the dock floating in the middle of the lake. He rescued them but another storm hit and sunk the back of our boat. Being up in the sticks it takes forever to order the parts,

Funny but not so funny thing is we drove up late at night not knowing the boat floated away so when we pulled up to our house at 3 in the morning we were like ummmmmm wheres the boats and dock,

One day me and DH will be boaters! Thats all my DH wants. Before we got engaged i told him when he bought me my e-ring that i'd buy him a boat of course I could never afford that but one day we will. We both had boats when we were younger and miss it so much!

To bad its in VT, my DH is an expert with outboards. He could probably fix it for you. What kind, is it a Yamaha, my DH hates getting Yamaha parts, they take forever.

You can get really good deals on boats... hence why I have 7 in my backyard.

We have a boat!!! But too bad its docked in Lake George and we only get to use it once a year when we go there for a week. I keep trying to convince DH to bring here so we can use it more
