Whose got a Great Meatloaf Receipe?

I wanna make Meatloaf tonight but I want to make a different kind rather than the traditional one I make all the time!!!!

Any suggestions?

i dont know if this is diffrent but here is how i make mine...

preheat oven to 350

mix in a bowl

meat
ketchup...not a whole lot..jus enough to make it moist
garic powder,onion powder,parsley flakes..just a bit
salt and pepper
i add pecorino romano grated cheese ad bread crumbs

mix it all together..form a loaf

then i sprinkle more bread crumbs and cheese on top..gives it a nice amost crust

bake it!!!!!

my mom also use to add bacon on the top..thats good too

I make it with turkey chop meat, grated onions and garlic, an egg or two (depending how wet it is), some bread crumbs (again depending on how much I need), chili powder, worschestershire sauce, and bbq sauce.

After I cook it for a while, I put more bbq sauce on the top and let it cook more. Yummy!

This is how i make mine. its not a real recipe but it always comes out soo good!

preheat oven 350

Ingredients:

1lb chop meat
small can tomato sauce
onion powder
salt
pepper
1 egg
bread crumbs (i use the italian seasoned ones)
american cheese


Mix meat, half the can of tomato sauce, onion powder, salt, pepper, a couple of handfulls of bread crumbs ( I usually wet them a little because the meat gets hard if I dont) and egg

Form a loaf

make holes in the loaf and put american cheese in them. Close them up.
Pour the rest of the can of tomoto sauce over the loaf.

bake for about a half hour.....I usually cut into it to see if its done.

It comes out sooooo good! I dont usually cook but I always get compliments on my meatloaf!

Here's my recipe!

First, decide if you want to make traditional (aka delicious lol) meatloaf or turkey meatloaf. For traditional meatloaf I always get the 'Italian' mix of ground meat, which is 1/3 lb ground beef, 1/3 lb ground pork, 1/3 lb ground veal. But you can also use just lean ground beef.

For Turkey Meatloaf I recommend using the 93% lean turkey. Only use the 99% fat free super lean if you are on a diet, it gets very dry.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees

Prepare a rectangular Pyrex dish with 1/4 inch of water, and a quatered onion in each corner.

1 lb ground meat (see above)
1 egg
2-3 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
1 fresh shallot minced
1 handful fresh chopped Italian Parsely (not curly)
1/3 cup grated pecorino romano cheese, or parmesan
3 tablespoons of ketchup
3 tablespoons bread crumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon orgeano
fresh ground black pepper and salt

Mix all the above ingredients with clean hands in a big bowl. Using your hands, form the mixture into a big ball, and then into the oval meatloaf shape. Put the loaf into the Pyrex dish with water and onion. Using a spoon or basting brush, cover the meatloaf in ketchup and ground black pepper. Put meatloaf in oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. After 15 minutes lower the temperature to 400 degrees.

SOOO YUMMY!!!!

This is the latest one I've tried. It's from Paula Deen. I don't usually use her recipe since they aren't very healthy but this looked like a good one. It was delicious and DH didn't even complain when he heard about the oatmeal in it!

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1 egg, lightly beaten
8 ounces canned diced tomatoes with juice
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
Topping:
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix all meatloaf ingredients well and place in a baking dish. Shape into a loaf.


Mix ingredients for topping and spread on loaf. Bake for 1 hour.
