Re: why?
That was so sad. I only know the story from that 6 minute clip but how was it not obvious that the step father was harming that child. 30 years in jail is not enought they both deserve life.

The sad part-and I did some digging-is both families are going back and forth on blame. They are trying to say the paternal family was abusing her....my question: why didnt her mother do anything? If my child came back to me in that condition you bet your *** I would do something...she did nothing!!!!
The step father got 30 years...the mother got 27 and it hasnt been decided yet....I hate people who are parents and dont do what they need to do to protect their children. Her poor father couldnt do anything

This is so sad. I hate parents- people who hurt kids. I DO NOT stand for it. It is truly horrible. A couple of months ago I read about a little angel that was murdered and tortured and I have seriously been a reck over it. I can't imagine how people can due such things. How mother like this little girls who did nothing and allowed her boyfriend to hurt her child. Stuff like this is all over the place, I wish I could help and change things.

Re: why?
I finally got to watch this and I'm heartbroken. There are definitely two sides to the story as there are multiple videos on YouTube. Like you've all said- I just don't understand how anyone could hurt a child like that.

So sad. Why does he have the option of living his life again in 30 years... Kelsey doesn't have that option. THAT's what gets me angry.

Re: why?
Honestly, kids have no rights. There are so many case that happen everyday and children are treated the worst. He should have got the Death Penalty. John Coury is getting the Death Penalty and so he should be. A lot of these criminals/ pedophiles that hurt children have more than one offense and really they shouldn't have the opputunity to do it again either Life in prison or DP.
To all children who became angels to soon.

Re: why?
I got this in an email a while ago, it made me sad the first time I saw it and still to this day. When I look at my children or any child for that matter, I can't imagine the hate and sheer evilness in someone's heart that could make a person do such a thing. I know many people are against the death penalty but to me in instances like these were a childs innocence is lost or a child is murdered, then that person should pay with their own life. Prison sentences, therapy, drugs, castration aren't working. I know it doesn't bring solace to the family or bring back that lost child. But in this day and age where technicalities and groups fight for the 'rights' of pedophiles and they get these idiotic senteces, justice is not served. The mere fact that the courts didnt think enough to remove her from her mother's house and leave her in the custody of her paternal granparents or other relatives, there is a good chance she might be alive today and a father wouldnt not have to, have come home from the military to see his angel in a grave and not in his arms I pray for the parents who have ever lost a child to pedophiles/murderers and for the children and adults who endured such a tragic situation
