I always wanted a May wedding. The Hall was available the whole month and the Church was wasn't the first two Saturdays in the month (Communions) so that's how I got the 15th.

i knew i wanted september or october. i just love those months. the reception hall had sept 13 or oct 4. we went with sept 13 to better accomodate our outdoor ceremony. turned out it rained so the sunset time didn't matter at all ah well..... lucky 13

We picked 2/21/04 b/c it was the Sat. before Mardi Gras in New Orleans, so my friends and family had off the Mon-Wed after the wedding. Easier for them to travel here to NY.

We got engaged in Sept 2003. DH was going to turn 40 in July 2004...and he wanted to be married before his birthday. So...we need a few months to plan so we started out with March or April (off season = cheaper). I originally wanted 4/24/04, but it was booked for the hall we chose for Saturday afternoon...I didn't want Saturday night (which was available). So, we asked about the week before of the week after. The week after was May 1st...beginning of 'wedding season' so the price was going to go out. The week before was open....that's how we picked April 17, 2004

I wanted to get married in May since I was a little girl, and DH said it was fine. I just had to find the right weekend, since almost every weekend in May there is a birthday in the family. We ended up getting married on the same weekend as my mother's birthday.

We got engaged 11/24/02 and we got married 11/1/03....we knew we wanted to get married in the fall and November the prices dropped, that was the first date available so we took it.

We couldn't get married in the summer because FH doesn't take the heat well (neither do I) Spring was too soon so fall was our only option. I originally wanted early Oct (like the 2nd) but to get the church and reception to match in October was difficult. The 23rd was the only day they would both be available. We couldn't do September because we both teach and to take off 2 weeks that early in the school year was no good and I felt November would be too cold!

We knew we wanted warm weather, my brother was getting married in June and Dhs BF was supposed to get married in Sept (never happened). We were going for Oct but the date we wanted was taken so we decided on AUG........We chose Aug 29 b/c it was our 4 year anniversary

We had to wait for the summer bc of DHs job and me being impatient bc I didnt want to wait longer then I had to, picked the first week in June.

I didn't want our wedding any where near the holidays, since my b-day is in Dec., and DH is in Jan.
We met in August, and that is too hot for me, so I was hoping for April/May. We got engaged in Sept. 2001, and I really wanted that weekend, 9/27/03- but that was taken...
DH wanted the foliage and Oct. (which both our Mother's b-days are in Oct.) so, we picked the weekend after their b-days so we'd always be around, not on our HM or vacations for what we call, the b-day weekend.

Sat. was too expensive, so Sunday, Oct. 19th it was.

July 4th.... originally because we had these ideas of this huge outdoor, tented wedding with fireworks....... plus it was my Pop's birthday and we had always had the greatest 4th of July partys as a kid (his last was his 75th which was a HUGE BLAST for me even as a 9 year old!!!).

So in the end, I wanted it because of it being his birthday and we ended up with an outdoor ceremony & cocktail hour (compromise to the original plan!!)

I original anniversary was June 27th (1994). We wanted a date close to that one and when my parents told me that a lot of our out-of-town relatives would be coming to the wedding, they suggested a holiday weekend wedding.

In 2003, July 4th fell on a Friday and it worked out perfectly. We were only having about 120 people, so a lot of the catering halls wouldn't allow us to have our reception on a Saturday night.

Since everyone is off on July 4th, it felt like a Saturday anyway.

It worked out well for everyone. My relatives made a long weekend out of it and Dave and I left for our honeymoon on Sunday (so we had Saturday to relax and get ready).

We refer to our wedding day as the 'day we lost our independence'!

DH gets six weeks off in the winter (his Country Club closes) and it's almost impossible for him to get time off in the summer, so we decided to have the wedding while the club was closed. When we realized we were going to save some dough it gave us extra incentive

I always wanted a September wedding outside by water. Good chance of nice weather. My brother got married September 2001 and it was beautiful out. I also wanted a Saturday wedding. My DH didn't really care when it was & told me I could have anything I wanted.

We met 7/13/99 and got engaged on V-day of 2000.

Looking at the calendar the first Sat. in Sept was the weekend of my brothers anniversary so I wanted to keep that for them. The next was the 13th. We met on the 13th of July so 13 must have been our luck number. I also didn't want to go too much later into the month. The hall we wanted which is right on the lake had that date available. We had an afternoon wedding. Unfortunately it rained on & off all day so no outside ceremony or CH.

My mom's b-day is the 12th so our RD was that night at her house. I made sure we had a birthday cake for her there as well as our Grooms cake.
