I responded too. I can't be bothered with some people any more. It is awful and critical of her.

She sounds like a spoiled brat with an even more spoiled mother. What gets me is that somehow she thinks it's her place to pass judgment on others. Why does she care so much where people live? Yes, everyone can have their own opinion but most of the time it's best to keep it to yourself.

Ugh...some people...

I honestly don't think what she wrote was all that terrible. It seems like people are on the defense about living with their parents.

when i first read her post, i figured it she couldn't phrase it properly and it was just use of poor language.. and THEN I read her response.. a poor attempt on her part to defend herself..

I disagree...it is incredibly rude to treat adults like children bc they have the same address as their parents. I do not live with my parents, so I am in no on the defensive it is the POINT that it is rude.

I agree. I dont think her choice of words were the right ones. Had she asked 'if an adult still lives with their parents, should I send them two separate invitations?' It would have been taken very differently.

yeah but she was just reiterating what her mom said... her mom is probably a stuck up snob...And, I know plenty of moms that feel the same way about adult children living with parents. The thought is not a new one...

She is what I call a C***. I only say that when it's fitting to the person and in this case, it most certainly is.

totally. You know there had to be an underlying judgment there, I can sense that... But not enough to warrant a full on attack.

No no no. The first half she is speaking about her self ' come from a different state. Where I come from, when you reach adulthood you move out and get your own place. It seems that here in LI, many adults just stay with their parents. I can't say that I get why anyone would want to do that but that's not the point of my inquiery.'

She then goes on to say her MOM thinks they shouldnt get their own invite.

She was plenty insulting. We are all entitled to our own opinion mine is that she is a bitach
