i think it will look fine...if you are taking the blinds down will you miss having privacy? If so then i would add cafe certains that you could close when you do prefer privacy...just a thought...i am a freak about closing curtains at nite.

Yeah, I was actually thinking of leaving the blinds but adding the valance on top.

I have white wooden blinds in my dining room against a white wall, and it was driving me crazy that it looked so boring! I did something similar to a valance. I got a long draping curtain and just draped it over the blinds.

That looks really nice. I think the same thing.. the plain white blinds need something to dress them up
