Wine Tour
Hi ladies!I'm planning a wine tour for my mom's birthday and was hoping to get your feedback. Which LI vineyards are your favorite to go to?
Since it's for my mom's birthday, I'm looking for the more 'serious' wine tasting experience -- where the staff actually tells you about the wine, rather than just pouring and walking away.
Any suggestions on where we should go?
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
**Sidenote, Legend Limos!!! Email me back about your packages! You are making me sad by not responding to me.

Re: Wine Tour
On my bach party we went to Duck Walk, Vineyard 48 and one other whose name I forgot, as well as the Vodka place. We were at Duck Walk first and our pourer there was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, so I would definitely recommend it there. The other places, well I don't remember so well
But I did have an amazing time. And, FYI, we went through LIwinetours.com and had the most amazing experience! They coordinate everything for you!
HTH!

Thanks for the tip! I think Duck Walk is one of my top choices of stops. Glad to hear they really walk you through the wines!!

Re: Wine Tour
i absolutely love Croteaux - it is a 100% rose wine vineyard - tasting room is small and mostly outdoors but the wines are great and the people are really nice! sometimes they have cooking demonstrations

Macari vineyards on the north side told us ALOT about he wines, and is pretty. Raphael is beautiful and def worth a stop in. I love bedell, duckwalk, palmer and peconic bay as well. I have been to pretty much all of the wineries at least once so feel free to ask me any questions.

My fav vineyards Raphael! All of the wines are delish! If they are not having a wedding or event (which is pretty much every weekend day) you should try and go there! Also love baiting hollow farms vineyard and ospreys dominion... AND if you can go there first (I like to start off my day of wine tasting) at sparkling pointe it's a champagne tasting room! Soo good!

i love sparkling pointe too - a friend from law school's boyfriend actually OWNS it ughhh
but it is pretty pricey. i did a tasting there and it was like $25 :roll eyes: but it is beautiful and the wines are great!

Re: Wine Tour
also, if you head out to greenport there is the greenport brewing company which is awesome - you buy the flight of beers and you get to keep the glass - i think it's $8 to try 5 beers or something and the glass is yours to keep
