How many of you feel you are financial ready for a baby? I know alot of you girls are going to say, 'you can never be financially ready' but yknow what i mean :) how many of you can sorta affford to have a baby right now...and how many of you cant but did it anyway :)

Well we just got married. We want babies but want to savor and enjoy newlywed-ness
As far as affording...we could....I would like to stay home with the baby (babies) so I think the idea of that change is daunting.......
but back to the original question..as is yes we could (thankfully)

Emotiionally, we are ready. Financially, not even close, but we would make it work.

We are buying a house right now and want to wait a little while to make sure we are comfortable with the payments and adjust to that lifestyle first. Once we have a better idea of how much we'll be spending each month and that we'lll have enough left over for a child, we'll start TTC.

were to selfish to have a baby, I do have grown children, who are the loves of my life and still spoiled. but I told dh I would never give him a baby. and he is great with that. we love our FREEDOM. BUT WE ARE ALSO 40 AND 45. now if we were still young it would be different. then I would def. consider it.

We are planning to start TTC in the summer bc we are emotionally ready (and excited), but totally freaked out about the money! Although, I paid the bills this morning and realized that this is the 3rd time we have had a decent amount of money left over after all the bills were paid. So, as of today I am starting to feel a little bit more secure... And hopefully we will be even more well off in a year and a half (when the baby would be here if all goes according to plan)

we'd be okay financially even though im not working now. i would also prefer to not work if we had kids so in that aspect the timing is right hehehe...but along the same lines as yelley...
at this point our focus is finding a place to own (and i suppose a job for me) and being able to handle all that comes with actually owning a place first.
and since we've saved endlessly for the wedding i do want to be a little selfish and spend some $/time on us.
