To buy a lipgloss online that you know has been discontinued for a few years...in other words, it's old?
My favorite lip gloss was the Jessica Simpson Dessert line, and it was only made from 2005-2007, 2008 tops. I found a website that still has inventory, and it claims to be new and unopened. But it's also been sitting on the shelf for at least 2-3 years if not longer. Would it be bad do you think?

I do not think it is bad as long as it is unopened. None of the chemicals in lip gloss have a short shelf life.

Cool...then I just got to decide if I want to drop $20 per tube on it to stock up...you would think that they'd slash the price since it's discontinued

I would get it...Especially if it is something I really liked and wouldn't be able to get elsewhere. They wouldn't sell it at all if it was THAT bad for you.
