Would you be mad??

One of my bff's since 3rd grade got engaged on Saturday morning...

I found out on facebook.

edited: I'm more hurt than anything else.

right, I figured I'd be mad for an hour but now after talking to another friend I'm mad again haha.

the only people i called were the people in the bridal party... everyone else found on on FB...

I would!! My bff since 7th grade got engaged and I found on FB with every other joe schmo too. I warned him back in September that I better not find out online when he proposes..and he said I wouldn't. I was super disappointed to find out online...but still happy for him in the end, I did give him sh!t about it!

If she posted it immediately and you saw it immediately then no.

I mean not only did she have all of saturday to call you she had all of sunday as well.

I tried calling all of my friends and family when I got engaged and if I couldnt get a hold of them I texted them to let them know. I waited a long time before I posted on facebook.

I'd be upset.

If your friend had your number, she should have called, whether it was the next day or the same day, even a text (because there's always that possibilty she tried calling and it went straight to VM).

I would mention it, casually, and say 'You know, you should have called me, or even texted, I hate finding things out online like that'.

I feel more angry when I find out someone's pregnant on FB or when someone dies - I always think THAT, should be private. I told everyone right away I was engaged on FB, followed by a series of phone calls - so I'm kinda of guilty of this - however, it has been decided a long time ago that if and when I get pregnant, no one outside my absolute close relatives and 3 friends would know. I just think those are 2 different areas. Engagements are exciting and people can't help it, whereas pregnancies, people tend to be more discreet for a while. That's MHO.

Same here. And actually, I didn't even really need to call them since they all knew- my parents and everyone.

I sent out 1 mass text message saying, 'yo.. I just got engaged' lol

Whoever wasn't on that mass text found out on facebook or through the grapevine.

i'd be mad... hell i found out theresa was pregnant while ON HERE! i think close friends should know before its announced on a website. but thats just MHO.

Did she call you eventually? I would be hurt if that was the only way I would have known. If she still hasnt contacted you I'd be hurt too

I called/ bbmed/ texted my important people and then let them tell everyone else. That whole weekend was so overwhelming.
