Would you change your honeymoon?

In an effort to get people chatting on here...

If you could do your honeymoon again would you do it the same exact way or change it? Not a second honeymoon, if you could go back in time and do the first over again.

The only thing I would change is the amount of time. We went for 10 days and I would have done 2 weeks.

Other than that we loved Belize and our resort.

I forgot to answer.

I wish we could have gone a little longer, but we couldn't because of DH's vacation days. I also might have switched hotels. The Grand Wailea was a little kid oriented, although we had so much fun together sliding down the water slides, so maybe not. I probably would have done a few more days on the Big Island because it was so romantic and a few less days at the Grand Wailea.

I would do ANYTHING to go on that trip again, no one leaves you alone the way they do when your on your honeymoon. Its just the two of you, always together, no interruptions. Its so nice, especially since I am without DH 3-4 days a week. (This week 5!)

If someone said I could do the wedding again or the honeymoon again but not both, I would do the honeymoon.

Our honeymoon was awesome! I do not think I would change a thing EXCEPT the place we had dinner the last night we were in Italy...we had the worst food-We actually left before our main course was served it was terrible.

Would have extended our stay in both Aruba and Vegas and would have stayed in a different resort in Aruba. But we had the MOST amazing time on our HM so really changing anything wouldn't be necessary!

Our honeymoon was awesome the only thing I would have changed was that we had to wait a month to go.
DH graduated the academy a week before our wedding and had to start at his new place the day after the wedding. They arranged for him to take off 3 weeks later.
I was so upset that we didnt get to take off into honeymoon bliss and will still love to have had that happen differently

Umm yes and no.

I loved Antigua! And I loved the people.

BUT I really didnt love the hotel Sandals.

I was SO sick of eating that food... FH and I loooooove to eat lol but if I had one more damn bacon cheeseburger I was going to go crazy!
So I didnt like the selection or quality of the food.

We paid a lot of money for our HM and were lead to believe that we wouldnt have to lift a finger b/c we got the hut with the butlers. Let me just say that I have not been on a real vacation since I was 7. I'm not counting FL, CA, and PA. I mean REAL.
So all the butlers did was get us food aka bacon cheeseburgers lol and make dinner reservations.
OK I totally could have done that myself. We filled out this whole survey thing about us...what we liked to eat, drink and snack on.... What they did with it I have no idea... b/c nothing that we put on there was in our room lol. And we didnt ask for anything crazy either.... just candy lol and bloody mary mix.... which yes, there was always like one can but cant you put 2 so we dont have to share? lol! The service su cks and the general attitue from the staff brought the whole mood down...which suc ked as well.
The people at the spa were OK... not great.
They were very bossy. We went once.... got a couples massage and then bought some skin products. My DH wanted to get another massage the day before we left so we made an appointment for that as well. The day before his appointment we spent the whole day at the beach and DH got a bad sun burn on his face and back.... so obvi he cant get a massage now. He calls the spa and the girl on the phone tells him he HAS to come in and he HAS to get something.... like yelling at him! He never looses his temper but I think he had just had enough from the attitude that he said he does not HAVE to do anything....and carried on about how he is burned and how we just went and bought a ton of face products. Apon check out we had to settle our charges that we made while we were there.... one included the Spa.... I had a credit for $250.00 for booking the room.... The girl at the check out counter gave me the hardest time..... She kept calling different people... and at one point I hear her say.. oh ok $150.00 credit... I was like NO its $250!!!!!!! Finally after like 20 minutes of this crap she comes to the $250.00 credit and takes it off the bill.

Overall I loved our HM because it was our HM.... but I didn't love the hotel, food, service.
The best times we had were when we left the hotel to do an excursion because the islanders are actually nice. I didnt like the image they were given by the hotel.

Oh Barb, sorry youhad some issues on your honey moon!

I would not have changed a thing, we did a cruise and it was amazing! DH did a little more gambling than I would have liked but besides that it really was an amzing time and wish I could doit all over again!

I wouldnt change a thing except maybe staying longer then 10 days! We love EPM! the food, service, everything was fantastic!

DH and I really want to go either to Tahiti or Thailand. However, we only had a week to travel due to work. We took off 2 weeks altogether for our wedding and HM. We end up going to Riviera Maya, Mexico since it was closer to travel. We had a great time with the excursions/activities and sightseeing. For the money spent, we would def been able to do a whole week of traveling to different cities in Europe.

I would have complained about our room, the floor and lamps were dirty. I also would have made DH go swimming more. He got a rash from his Tux shirt and the salt water would have helped it more.

i LOVED our honeymoon we went to Aruba! and had the most amazing time! but I really always dreamed about going to Hawaii for my honeymoon and feel like its soo expensive and if i couldnt afford it now, when i dont have any kids or a house...lol we will never get there!

We had an awesome time on our HM but I did get really sick the last 2 days we were there… so that was not fun. I was just bummed bc the day I got sick was the day we were supposed to go on the boat tour to see the volcanos and waterfalls and stuff so that kinda s ucked.

The only thing I would change ws to make it longer...we had to come home early because my sister changed her wedding date.

Barbara- Sorry you had a bad experience at Sandals. Maybe it was that resort because we had an amazing experience. We were upgraded to a butler hut room and didn't have to do anything...but then again, we also didnt feel comfy really using the butler...it wasn't our thing...but we thought the staff was friendly and attentive and wonderful!

I loved Hawaii, but if I had all the time and money in the world I would have gone to Greece,Turkey, and Portugal.

we went to vegas for 5 days 4 nights and it got tiring at the end we was ready to go home but we hould have did 4 days and thre nights

I don't think that I would change a thing. We also went to Sandals Antigua and we had the greatest time. The resort was beautiful on the Mediteranean side, the other side was just okay. Our suite was upgraded to a penthouse suite and I could have stayed there all day! The bathroom was as big as my house and the balcony was great. I thought the service and food were good, maybe not excellent. I also would have liked more options for lunch or snacks. The one thing I would change was that we didn't get to go scuba diving. They were predicting bad weather and had moved their boats to a nearby harbor and even though the weather turned out fine they didn't bring the boats back in time for us to go. Overall, I would go back anytime!
