Wow..10 months later we get a wedding gift

I cant believe that 10 months after our wedding we got a wedding gift from my husbands cousin and her husband that never gave. They ended up sending us a case of Pindar wine. Although I dont need a case of wine, at least they did something.

It just so happened that saturday night while we were watching a video, at 8 pm this cousin's husband (who my husband cant stand) called my husband to say that his 11 year old is 2 hours late from the movies and they need his help to look for her. I was a little upset because I felt that after 2 hours she is probably ok. What really made me upset was he just jumped and left (always for his family) and this was a couple that didnt even give us a card at the wedding. Of course their 11 year old was fine and home when my husband got there, but when he got home I couldnt help but think of how they didnt acknowledge our marriage with at least a card on our day. I guess somehow some class struck this woman and she realized that my husband has done numerous favors for them through his job, etc and they didnt even show the decency to ackowledge our wedding. Just wanted to share...

Tammy - I think it was after my husband ran there saturday night that somehow she realized how much he does when they ask and they didnt ackowledge us. I dont know. I always give a gift on a couples day so I have no idea.

I understand Debbie. I felt the same way. We still have a couple (this persons sister that we just received a gift from) that didnt give.

I just got another gift from this person today, a big wine rack to go with the case of wine. To all that got stiffed, you may still get a gift. I have never heard of this though. I always thought everyone gives and gives on the day of the wedding and not 10 months later. Oh well.
