Does anyone know of a place in Queens that sells frozen pasteles that I can boil at home?? I usually get them from family or friends but no one really makes them in the summer.
Lea I don' t know about frozen, but I used to live off the 30th Ave. stop and if you walk down 30th Ave when you get off the train, hang a left on 29th St and go walk half a block up on the left hand side there's a bodega where the woman cooks all sorts of stuff all day long on the one side of the bodega, she has a counter and a window. She makes pasteles right there (when I lived there DH and I would stop and get them all the time). She's incredible, she makes everything, tamales, pernil, gandules and all the basics. I miss her cooking now that I think about it...
