xmas tree

so dh put the christmas tree up i think it was last tuesday, we got the lights on it thursday and i decorated it friday night, well yesterday we had a family christams party and when we came home our tree was laying on the floor. Dh is furious he wanted to throw it outside and told me to forget about the tree this year. So after convincing him we needed a tree we picked the tree up, cleaned up all the water and pine needles and now my tree is sitting in the kitchen until the carpet is completely dry. Dh is going to tempt to put it back up today while i am at work

OOO please let it not cause any problenms today. i am praying i dont come home to my tree on the front lawn

Re: xmas tree

I just saw this...

Don't feel bad mine has fallen twice already. We have changed the stand, and are now back to the original stand. We secured it with twine the second time around so it didn't go far the second time it fell.

DH is all about reputting it up and I am all about throwing out the freakin window.

Re: xmas tree

if it happens again and your DH gets really fed up with it, maybe you could get a fake tree instead?

well we got the tree up last night and everything was ok and still seems ok, i think he didnt have it in the stand correctly. So its his fault, Dh is very funny about the tree and he refuses to go to a fake tree. I suggested he tie it to the wall, but he doesnt want to mess the wall up

You can try those 3M command strip hooks and tie it to the wall that way. so after christmas you can take the hooks down - no mess no stress.
