Re: Have any of the newlyweds moved home
God that bites!Ever call the cops? I did after I got no satisifaction from the landlord. After 10pm it's a nusiance and you can call the cops. After two calls the super came over to b!tch at me. I said 'look I asked you nicely, no more'. He apparently knew the loud buggers. Good buddies they were. But no super likes cops showing up night after night. They finally quieted down enough for me to sleep. My bedroom was really far from the front door but the neighbors were so loud closing all the doors in the middle didnt help.
The neighbors kids would call me names when I came home from work if they saw me.. oh how fun it was..

Re: Have any of the newlyweds moved home
Same with me, with a similar problem. I called the cops, after 3 phone calls and the cops knocking at their door early and very late when they would make the noise, it stopped. Have you called yet? You deserve your peace so call if you haven't.

Re: Have any of the newlyweds moved home
Can you even break your lease? Just document everything, and everyone you talk to at that office. Jenhos (I think she's a lawyer on here) told me to make a paper trail. Its getting so ugly. I asked the woman upstairs to come into my apartment Friday night to listen to her tv. She said she was sorry, but then the husband (who I rarely see, and sounds like Joe Pesce through the walls) cranks it louder. I also found out that this girl has a family member that works for the complex, so I'm at a dead end. AND they had the people next to them evicted because they were too loud. So I know I wont win here. I just want to get the f**k out already, without paying penalties.

Re: Have any of the newlyweds moved home
I notice that everyone calls the cops. How can I call the cops on these people for breathing heavy (snoring), and talking in the bedroom. Thank god I'm not married to this guy he just keeps on gabbing. NON STOP. Dont you think its up to the complex to do the right thing by me and let me leave? And for swag's complex to say they are beneath her is horrible. You pay rent, you deserve the respect. As long as they keep you there, make their lives miserable, keep calling them and telling them how miserable you are, and write letters. Whatever you can do.

Maybe the owners of the complex have another complex or unit you can move into. Everything will work out- if not, just scrapbook. That's what the original saying was, when the going gets tough, the tough scrapbook.

Jamie...I'm so sorry you have to deal with this!!I guess we are pretty lucky with our neighbors. They just slam the door when they come and go ( I don't think they realize it, they are old), otherwise we barely hear them.

Re: Have any of the newlyweds moved home
I lived in a basement apartment under 'animals' myself. It was HORRIBLE! People are so selfish and rude- they act as if they're the only ones who matter. I was constantly sick- at least once a month from lack of sleep! I feel for you, and you shouldn't have to move, but for peace of mind, your health and sanity, might be best. Everything happens for a reason...Hang in there, it'll be better soon!
