Re: Thank you question
Re: How to word thank you notes?I wouldn't word it thank you for the gift you got Alex and I, only because the thank you is supposed to be coming from both of you, not just you. I would stick to thank you for the generous gift you gave us, or just thank you for the generous gift. JMO
Here is what I wrote in my thank you's:
Dear so and so,
Thank you so much for the generous wedding gift. We are so happy you were there to celebrate our special day with us. Thank you for all your good wishes and for giving us wonderful memories to cherish forever.
Love, Jaime and Michael
For people that didn't attend:
Dear so and so
Thank you so much for the generous wedding gift. We are so sorry you were not able to celebrate our special day with us. You were truly missed. Thank you so much for all your good wishes.
Love, Michael and Jaime
They sound a little corny, but OMG, it is so hard to fill a thank you card and this was the best that I came up with!!
ETA- this was more or less what they said, in some I added stuff, depending on how close I was to the person!

Re: Thank you question
i would mention him in the thank you to his family for sure. the nest way to keep someones memory alive is speak about him. i would say sometime like the memorys of my wedding will be that much more chrished knowing that i got to share my day with him. i would think it would be worse if you didnt mention him to them.im so sorry for your loss

I'm sorry for your loss.
I agree with Janwinterbride's reply about mentioning your cousin and cherishing that day and the memories.

Re: Thank you question
I am so very sorry about the loss of your cousin.
I agree that you should mention him and celebrate his memory. I'm sure that although it will be very hard to write, his parents will greatly appreciate it and know that he is not forgotten.
Gosh, this is just so sad. (((Hugs)))

Re: Thank you question
First, I want to say how sorry I am to hear about your loss. I can understand your difficulty with this.I would mention him and say how happy you are to have had him be such a big part of your day. That will be one of the best memories they will have.
