Im sorry to hear that. Even if you had a perfect day, I think renewals are beautiful..but even more so in your case. I didnt think Catholic churchs (assuming you are catholic) did renewal of vows since its a sacrament and you can only receive it once...but maybe they will do some sort of blessing?

yup, we're Catholic. We were married by a Catholic Bishop (he's my mom's cousin). So, I'm afraid to even ask him to 'redo' it.
I just want to have a nice day that is 'FULL' of happiness. not bits and pieces of happiness mixed in with LOTS of drama. UGH!
My mom says to just be very careful when we have kids and plan the Christening. But, that's not really going to be 'our' day, it's going to be our child's day. So, I guess I just want 'our' day back to do right this time...

Aw Suven - I'm sorry you feel that way about your day! I can tell you though that everything really did look beautiful from your pics that I've seen.
I think a renewal would be beautiful too though. For you, I picture a tropical destination wedding renewal with only your nearest and dearest non-drama causers! It would be like the total opposite of the traditional big LI wedding that you had so it would create so many new and precious memories for you both!

That sounds like a good idea.

I'm sorry that happened. Some people have nothing better to do but try to ruin a special moment for someone else.

Yes, you can do a vow renewal even if you were married in a Catholic Church. They just say the vows differently.
I say do it if you want to and make the best memories yet!
