I think somehting like that happens to everyone. For awhile I was really upset that there was not a picture of my parent, my IL and me & DH. And there were a few others I wanted that werent taken. In the end I had to realize that I have hundreds of beautiful pictures and I can dwell on the one or two that are missed!
YOu are newly married, I think you will get past it soon enough. At least I know i did but it did take alittle while!

you're right...you're right...it is new. i just talked to my MOH...same kind of thing happened to her. she never got really over it, but just realized it is one day. so i hear you, i do have lots of nice ones and in that way i'm lucky. it could be a million times worse. just hate the fact i spent so much and STILL a few things went wrong...but this too shall pass.

My mom mentioned the other day that we never had the photographer take a 'generations' picture of me, my mom, Grandma and aunt. Have you ever heard of those? It made me feel bad that I didn't think of it, especially because my Grandma is almost 94 and not in the best of health.

So I can understand your disappointment. But I think there is a reason that people say that nothing goes 100% perfect on the wedding day. There is just so much going on, so many details to keep track of. Just think of all of the future pics you will be in with your new in-laws!

Aw!

I haven't seen my proofs yet, but I know that a LOT of pics were missed...it's all my fault because I was too happy talking to everyone and I was super busy but i missed:

1) Pics with my brothers and sisters
2) Family portrait (long story, but it didn't get taken - and everyone came from out of town)
3) The two families together

I was realyl bummed about it at first, but realized that it happened and I can't do anything about it...except make sure they're at least on video...since it's the first time EVER my whole family (extended and all) was in one room.

I feel your pain girl...

This exact same thing happened to me. Both sides of our familes were upset that were wasn't a big 'His' side and 'my' side picture. It was on the list, but we had no time really. The families were both also like - there are too many shots of the two of you, not enough of the families. Of course I wanted to say it was OUR wedding, that does make sense.

But in the end, you just have to concentrate on the positive, which is that you have a lot of great shots.
