Anyone I didn't get a gift from, I sent a note thanking them for coming. At 21 & 23 they should know enough to bring a gift.

Re: Thank you for no gift?
This is always a topic of discussion. Some people think you should send a thank you to everyone who came to your wedding Some people think the party at the reception and the favor (if there is one) is thank you enough.
Personally, I sent a thank you to everyone who came to my wedding, to thank them first for coming and sharing our day, and secondly for the gift (if there was one).
It's a personal decision.

Re: Thank you for no gift?
Out of 164 people, I had one person (with date) not give a gift. I sent a thank you. 'Thanks for sharing in our special day! We hope you enjoyed yourselves!'
Hee hee heee...
I thought it might trigger an, 'Oh s*it! I never gave anything!' BUt no luck.

Re: Thank you for no gift?
We had two no-gifters who are very aware that they haven't given gifts. No card for them until the earlier of six months from our wedding date or we get a gift.
I don't mind the no gifters who came to the wedding as much as the no-show, no-gifters.

I sent thank you notes to everyone even if they did not give a gift. One of those people happens to be my MOH.

Re: Thank you for no gift?
i plan to send thank yous to everyone, gift or not. it's a nice opportunity to touch base and let a person know I appreciated them witnessing a big moment in my life, especially if I don't see them often. in some cases, people traveled far and paid for a hotel, and I'm just glad they could make it, with or without a gift.

You had one of those too?! She and the other FOUR no gifters (one being her brother) keep reminding me that they have a year! We'll see

I would say, 'We're glad you could share our special day. We hope you enjoyed yourself'

Me too! We had 11 no-shows, no gifters to this day no call! All from DH's family - his mom said that no one knew it would be 'so fancy' and therefore they treated it like every other wedding...said yes and at the last minute decided not to come.
Anyway, sorry about getting off topic. I plan on thanking everyone who came to my wedding...those who gave gifts and the many who didn't will be thanked for sharing our day. Of course, no mention of 'generosity' will be written on the no gifters' cards.

That's exactly what I wanted to do, but DH didn't want to waste the stamp!
