Luckily, no, our marriage is very much respected. We've been together for so long that I think people already treated us as if we were married.

starting to wonder if I'm alone here.

My MIL seems to think she is a 1/3 member of our marriage.

So does mine. A few of friends don't like dh. They say I spoil him.

All but my aunt, she doesnt like the fact that its a 'inter-racial' relationship, so she doesnt talk to him unless needed. Shes a B#$&h. The rest of both our families are SOOO great.

I have one friend... a friend that I made through my ex. For a long time she thought that me and my DH were just a fling that I would eventually get back with my ex. Obviously that never happened but because she never really accepted our relationship then, I don't think she really respects it now. Needless to say, our friendship is not what it used to be because of that.

But to have your MIL treat your marriage that way... well, that's on a whole other level. Nothing like that for us. But that really svcks.

Nope, I think that everyone supports us 100%. Each side lover the other side! I guess we are fortunate for that.

i get the sense from my single friends that DH and I are different from what they would want - but that's fine, because i'm sure iw ouldn't want what they want! i think they think it's strange that DH and I haev seperate lives and don't doeverything together.
