Oh cool wow that looks lovely!!!!! Maybe add more liquid to it next time OR sometimes with my stove i slightly undercook the cake (like check it with a toothpick and see that it all most comes out clean)

Its a hit and miss thing sometimes so glad you like it !!!

if you can add pineapple to the cake that may help with maybe making it a bit more moist. The denseness may come from the flour. Maybe next time you can try using cake flour instead of all purpose flour, if you didn't do that.

It also looks very yummy!!! I want to take a swipe from the frosting hehe

Awesome. MAybe you can make a hybrid of the 2 lol My cake with her frosting b/c that sounds amazing.

I have been reading alot on the science of baking, and I haven't gotten to the flour chapter yet. I don't know completely why it was so dense though.

The Rebel is very good too! I dont think there is much different from Rebel and my camera! I love it so far - takes some time to learn all the settings or you can just shoot in automatic. I took a class and am taking another one with canon next week!
