ALL the time. Especially with the way the economy is right now, I'm uber careful and cautious. However, you DO deserve it Jenna! I actually have an idea for you for a side biz. If you start taking some great photos you should sell prints on Etsy.com!!!!

Yes maybe its the economy that has me freaked too. But also I dont know who I think I am spending all this money on camera gear! But it is my hobby and hopefully a profession one day..but we'll see.

And hmm I may like the etsy idea! What kind of prints? Also I took some maternity pics recently and want to show them to you...will send via snapfish to you and Jenn!

So I'm on etsy right now searching for beach pics or surfing pics. We're redoing DH's room @ the beachouse and I want to do a 'surfer' type theme with real pics. The prints cost like $35 bucks each without frame! Dude, you can totally make up that $$ by taking some NYC shots etc.

Yes, I've always been that way! I haven't gotten a new bag in a long time, and I only have a few really nice ones because I'm ultra-selective. But, I have always wanted a Fendi bag...just once. My DH knows he can't pick one out for me, so he gave me money for Christmas. I went and looked and have had my eye on one in particular. Do you think I have it yet? I couldn't bring myself to get it. I told the girl at Saks I wanted to think about it. I wanted to go back with my DH to get his opinion and we never did. Especially with the economy being the way it is, I don't know if I can bring myself to spend the money on it...but it is gift money and I don't like using gift money for bills.

In your case, you have put a lot of thought into this for some time. It is something you are very interested in pursuing. And, you've taken at least one class, right? So, I don't think it's an impulsive purchase. As long as you've researched it and feel confident about the one you're getting...it will be a good purchase and worth the money!! Do it!

omg I get so nervous before a big purchase. I always want to back out and DH needs to step in to reconvince me to just get it

Yeah I have had my eye on this lens for a long time. Even before I had my camera...so yeah like a year and a half. I just wish it was cheaper :)

Also I feel bad because DH has really supported me with this photography thing and he never gets anything for himself but just lets me spend $$$ and many hours of my time on this hobby! He is too sweet! He keeps saying 'GET THE LENS ALREADY'


Aww, that's sweet of him. I agree with Cindy too, if you are that serious about it, even if for now it's just a hobby, maybe some day down the line you can start to make money with it. I've thought about it myself, but I'm not sure it's for me. At the very least, you'll be able to take beautiful pictures when you have a baby some day...definitely a good investment!

OMG YES!!! When we went to go look at cars, I was a nervous wreck. DH loved a camry that was 4000 over our budget, and we put a deposit down while we thought about it. When I was signing the paperwork for the contract, i started hyperventalating!! When we got home, I started hysterical crying, flipping out about the monthly payments. We then decided against that car and one that was just in our budget, and felt a lot better about, but was still having panic attacks that day over it!

Yes. When I got my new car I almost backed out and I was crying b/c i was so anxious. I think we all can get like that.

I never use to, but since we got married, I feel GUILTY. I think the economy gets me nervous too. I really want to get a new laptop and I even have gift cards towards one, I can't spend the money. DH keeps saying 'we have it the money', and I know we do, I just feel like I can't make the purchase, what if DH lost his job, or someone in my family needed money. Just talking about this makes me crazy.

Not really. The only time I get nervous is when it involves my credit. I have very good credit so I have no reason to get nervous, but if I'm getting a new car and when we were getting the mortgage for our house, I'm very nervous. I think it's more of the excitement than anything.
