i do see her point of view about being angry that the surprise was ruined ... but on the other hand, she didn't really tell you it was a surprise so you had no way of knowing.

i would go. i would have a GREAAAAT time with everyone (minus herrr) and just drink and have a blast!

eff the whole drama. just celebrate. she will see that everyone (EVERYONE) is having a great time and it will kill her inside that her stupid intentions didnt work

just go and smile and celebrate

obviously BIL wants you guys there....sounds like he just didnt want to get caught up in drama

honestly, just to annoy her more, id probably text her back somethign SUPER SWEET

i think YOU need to get her asss on the phone and lay it all out there.
she obv has an issue with you, i mean, she told your MIL that... and she'll text your DH, but not you.
AND she lays the guilt trip on your DH?
uh no, not happening. i'd be in her face so fast!

call your BIL and apologize for 'ruining' the surprise, but explain that you didn't even KNOW it was a surprise, tell him you weren't invited until the other day...

i'm sorry you're going through this, she sounds like trash!
maybe do something special with your DH, just the two of you...

It sounds like she tried to set it up that way.

I agree with Janis- just go and have fun. She didn't talk to you on your own wedding day...so just cause she's throwing the party doesn't mean you have to talk to her! Have a fun time with your friends.

I'd do the best to sit down with them and basically say that you figured BIL knew since he's the one who told you he was going to AC for his bday.

Then I'd till his gf that considering they are close brothers who ALWAYS celebrate together, that from now on if she wants to plan something as a surprise then it should be the 2 of you planning it for them.

I can see why she's mad but the bigger picture is celebrating their SO's bdays.

I would leave it up to your DH if he wants to go to AC or not. If he wants to go then I'd go for HIM and your BIL. If not then I wouldn't.

But I would leave it up to your DH.

I can't believe she cancelled his bday plans!!! She totally is a snatch!

Anyway your DH can call his brother and just have a one-on-one with him and tell him that he doesn't want this hoochie to get in the middle of their relationship (and their bday plans) ....

that really sucks ... especially for your DH

Imo, I'd have your DH meet with his bro and the two of them can talk and the two of them can figure out their bday plans.

I'd say you go cuz the 3 of you are family, she's not. She'll have a prob. with that though and so will your BIL.

Some sense needs to be knocked into her that regardless of what you did or didn't do they are brothers and including you you're family.
