I heard that on cruises you sit at a big table with other people to eat.. Is this true?

I think you do sit at a Big Table with other people/couples or families. I am not sure. I have never been on one before, but my friends have.
I am not sure if there is other dinner plans you can make???

it depends on your cruise line we cruised with princess and you had the option of dinning with others (there were two seating times for that) or you coud have anytime dinning where you get to dine whenever you want and with whomever you want. DH and I dined together

it depends on the cruise line.. ive only been on norwegian and its freestyle cruising. so you eat with who you want when you want

When you book your cruise, you should request private seating for dining. When you get to your table the first night of the cruise if it isn't private tell them that you requested private dining, and that you would like them to honor your request. If you need to slip them a $10 or a $20 to lite a fire under their @$$ to make sure it happens then you may need to do so. We requested private seating on our last cruise, and we ended up in a small 6 table room where each table had 3 couples at it. We ended up enjoying the other couples at our table so much that we didn't bother asking for them to change our seat the second night.

Some cruise lines let you choose a large or small table to sit at.

depends on teh cruise line....for our honeymoon on RCL we requested to sit just the two of us and we got it , NCL does freestyle so you dont have to worry about that (only if you want you can sit with other people otherwise its not a problem)

when we go on princess we have a choice. we either dine at a fixed time with other people or do anytime seating and dine by ourselves. We usually choose anytime dining and if we really like the waiter we get we always request that same table and give him a tip at the end of the cruise.
