Ya know what I hate?

Name droppers.

Whether it be 'Oh I know this person...' or 'these are my (insert designer name) (insert fashion item.)'

Who the heck cares? I can't afford designer fashions and that is TOTALLY ok with me..it's just not important to me (could be why I alway slook like a schlep! lol) But i really find it so obnoxious when people do that!

I could careless. If thats what makes people happy then so be it. Although its usually the ones who are new to the game that seem to do that. I have plenty maybe too many designer bags shoes clothes but i dont need to do that. Why because wether its target or Chanel i love what i own. Its all good.

But really do u guys see any difference from those types to the types that constantly talk about their new anythings??? Its like seriously do i need every step of your life???? U got it we get it ok! Just saying.

TOTALLY! I think it's great if buying designer stuff makes people happy...heck everyone likes a new bag or a pair of shoes but is it necessary to harp on it being designer? Like you say, you like what you have because you like it NOT because of who designed it!

OMG I totally agree with you. . like when I am hanging out with my BFFs paris hilton or madonna and people are all trying to say hello to us . . and then they are all like strolling up in their versace or whatever. . and it doesnt impress me bc like whatever - I knew him before he died so big whatever . . .

I know what you mean.

I see people do this A LOT. With tons of different things, from material items, to houses, yards and other things people own, to names of people, like you said. No one really cares what you have so there's really no need to flaunt it.

I don't think they even realize what they sound like, at all.
But it sure is obnoxious. It's a shame.

I work with a girl who used to/sometimes still does date a particular male supermodel and a particular action movie star. She's ALWAYS talking about it, meanwhile they treat her like dirt and just use her as a hole to put their ding-dong when they happen to be in town. (Usually. The model is nicer than the movie guy).

Though I'm guilty of being a total Betsey Johnson freak...and I usually post pics of any new BJ (teehee!) purchases that I score at sample sales. I hope that doesn't bother anyone I do always throw in how I got something for like $40, not her usual $300+ per dress and tell everyone on the board when the Betsey sample sales are happening.

OMG but Lauren I just got these amazing sunglasses!! they are Forever21! LOL!

In college, I had this friend who was ALL about designer everythinggggg... Another friend of hers passed by us one day and she says to me, 'She buys her clothes from woodbury (outlets)... thats SOOOO last years fashions...' Guess she had no clue thats where I got all my designer clothes from

we went on a boat one tim with friends of our really good friends...they had money and we knew t once we sw this boat..

anyway we stop in some little town and go in these small stores..the wife of the guy who owned the boat comes out an goes..i cant shop in there,its like the clothes in target and who would buy clothes there...

i look at dh and whisper to him..see ths shirt im wearing..its from target..8.99 hope she dont notice

I think if people are just bringing it up to bring it up then its obnoxious. Like they walk in and just start blabbing away about their crap.

However, a lot of times people will ask (which I think is rude) and then get attitude if it is designer---thats what I really hate.

Me too but you'd be surprised how many people do it......I went to a wedding and someone actually asked me WHO I was wearing? I felt like she was Joan Rivers on the red carpet.....people are strange
