I shipped my mother hers ... I just packed it really good.
I'm surprised they would be leery of shipping it.

They'd rather not ship it? what would they rahter do? Drive it down to Georgia them selves?
Can someone in your family pick it up & ship it themselves? If you bring it to a packign palce the will pack it well. I shipped crystal to San Diego for my cousin's wedding through Mailboxes, etc.

Honestly, I would make them ship it as opposed to having someone pick it up & ship so THEY are responsible for packing it well & insuring it.

She said she WOULD ship it if that's the only way because she wants us to see it first....
My dad would pick it up for me and ship it to me if I asked him to, which I think I might do.
