yay my first post here

so i basically just finished counting all of our envelops and depositing everything which was so much work

everyone keeps asking us how did we do and i just tell them good but i just think its such a personal question
i told me parents and DH parents we broke even but i just dont feel its necessary to tell everyone else

does anyone else get these questions

wierd TOTALLY innapropriate question but OMG you broke even??!! We got about 1/15th back!! our checks wouldnt even have paid for 1/2 of our band!!

yes people ask us all the time! and im actually embarrassed to tell them how we did because it wasn't that great! DH's family is just not as generous as mine! I just dont get it because i havent been to a ton of weddings or anything, but ive heard (and not just from planning my own) that you are suppose to cover your plate! my immediate family...like aunts and uncles etc. went above and beyond covering their plate! then there is DH's immediate family who throw $50 bucks in a card! and money is not an issue i just dont think they get it! lol
or his MOTHER who still is yet to give us our gift!!!!!!!!
