wear black to a christening? I am the godmother. I went shopping to try to find something cheery and left empty handed. Will I be talked about for years to come when photos are passed around.
Would fishnets be completely inappropriate? I'll say yes to that but all black is okay?
I have a black skirt and top I want to wear with a camel coat and peep toe black and camel shoes.
I know I know if I have to ask but I over analyze everything
Update: Since this came back the Christening was on Sunday and I did wear black. I had on a cream colored scarf (fat hider) so I wasn't totally dull (appearance wise anyway). I don't think anyone was looking at me, all eyes were on Declan

What if I show up in red and am carrying my own baby? (I don't have a baby well non that I know of anyway.)
I just didn't know if all black was bad since I am a co-star. Also my mom has called constanly asking what I am wearing. when I say black she does that under the breath voice and mumbles it is up to me which means I HATE THAT IDEA WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE A MORON LIKE YOU.

But black is always elegant!!!! I'd wear pearls, that will make your mom happy, they like pearls. My mom has the exact same expression they might be related. But my younger sister the fashionista wears black to EVERY function and always looks appropriate.
Tell your mother you're wearing the fishnets and then when you don't she'll be so relieved she'll LOVE your outfit...
