You ladies may be able to help me here..
My sister/MOH and I are trying to figure out how to word a bachelorette party invitation.Even just a snappy sentence to say it's a bach. party is fine - nothing too elaborate.
I figured you guys have probably seen invitations for your own or done some for friends and would have ideas.
Thanks in advance
Mary
ps: I saw some websites - nothing really helped though.

Re: You ladies may be able to help me here..
What are you doing for her? Maybe tie that into the invitation so people get an idea of what to expect?

Re: You ladies may be able to help me here..
it's actually for me (the party)I am home sick so I figured I would do the invitations today so they are out of the way.
We're going to dinner (either mangia y bevi or beni hana's) and to culture club to go dancing.

Maybe make it easier on yourself and do an evite. They have some templates set up with graphics already..and then you dont have to do so much work to keep the attendess straight. Everything is done via email and internet. Plus you can link to maps and photos, etc..

Re: You ladies may be able to help me here..
I was thinking about that but not all the girls I am inviting have jobs where they use computers and they don't go online at home all the time either so that's not the best option. But I will jump on that site and see if they have any ideas about wording.
I just don't want to put 'come to Mary's bachelorette party' and then the details. I wanted to put down something snappy.
Thanks for the evite idea. I would do it if I knew all the girls got online more than they do.

Re: You ladies may be able to help me here..
Since you are going to Culture club..maybe make it very 80s themed.Like use 'Flash to the past in celebration of my final single days' or something like that?
I guess it depends on how much work and money you want to put into them but if you want to go all out you could do some really fun stuff.
How many people are you inviting?

Re: You ladies may be able to help me here..
If you want to do 80's themed maybe you can do something with Mr & ms Pacman- that is easy.

Stef, I like that idea! And the pacman icon is a cute idea too!
Thanks ladies
edited to say i think about 15-20 girls but i know 5 probably won't come off the bat...and probably more.
Alot of my friends don't go out that much anymore b/c they have kids.
Oh well!

Re: You ladies may be able to help me here..
If you go to Culture Club, their 'logo' uses a Pacman so that might work.Since you have a small guestlist..what about sending them something 80s-ish in a box rather than an invite. Im drawing a blank here but maybe a tshirt with a torn neck ala Ross's 'Frankie says relax' or an 80s compliation CD?

Re: You ladies may be able to help me here..
Stef those are such cute ideas! If I had the time to do it (or my sister too) we would do something like but but neither of us do.
I am just printing them up on the computer with software I have and didn't want to put 'you're invited to mary's bachelorette party' - sounded too blah.
but I ended up putting 'join us for a night out on the town to celebrate Mary's bachelorette party' - not snappy or cute but better than blah.
too bad we didn't think of those thing last month, but we're both pretty busy (and my other 2 bm's said they didn't want to plan it - one can't go anyway and the other one is preggo and has a busy month ahead of her with birthdays and office move and in-laws coming for a few weeks)....

That's perfect. I'm going to change the invitations to say that. Thank God I didn't print them out yet!
Thanks Erica and Stef!
