You vs. the model : Wedding Dress

Just as sort of a fun picture posting activity, please post the advertisement for your dress and then a photo of you in it.

There was a thread like this on another wedding board but since we are a smaller group, I think we might get more enjoyment of it.

I thoguht there was a HUGE difference between me and the model - funny thing - I like the way it looked on me much better! :)

Thanks cocoa! I actually got both my dress and veil at the same place - Macy's Bridal Salon in Manhasset. To be honest, I never imagined I would want a long cathedral veil, and I never would have picked it myself, but when they saw my dress and pulled this veil for me to try on, it just fit so perfectly that I fell in love with it on the spot! :) Wah - I MISS my dress!!! I want to wear it again!!! :)

Mine was custom made by my mom, so I was able to mix and match my dress.
The style of the top was taken from a Maggie Sottero dress
The beading was derived from an Amsale dress for the top and the train.
The skirt is from an amsale dress.

I have a correction the beading is from Remacra [sp?] and the bottom is from an amsale gown.

The Model (by the way, this page was carried around for a year & a half to motivate me to lose weight so it is quite wrinkled!!!!)


Then me!! I had the seamstress remove the train, I didn't want my butt to look ANY BIGGER the it had to!!

and here's me...but don't mind the squinty eyes (I wouldn't look at myself in the mirror because every time I did I cried, lol)
