Hi all -- I'm new to this being married thing and cooking every night. We've been married 2 months almost (holy cow!) and I want to try new dishes instead of just recycling the same 6 or 7 dinners in a week... what's your favorite dinner to make?

My normal dinners are: spaghetti and meatballs; homemade pizza; chicken cutlets; fajitias; pork roast; roast beef; london broil
i actually made manicotti for the first time the other day - it came out great!

some other favorites:
chicken francaise chicken marsala turkey meatloaf pasta with meat sauce chicken fajitas chicken cordon bleu chicken parm lasagna baked ziti lobster stuffed salmon (I cheat and buy it already stuffed at the supermarket fish counter)
Can you tell I like chicken breasts?

My favorite dinner to cook (and eat!) is baked ziti with sausage. I love it because you can prepare it in 20 min and then let it bake while you do other things. Plus, you can make healthy variations if you want (use whole wheat pasta, light cheese and turkey sausage). I make enough to eat as leftovers another night.

Great post with some great ideas, I'm getting tired of making the same things over and over again! Our usual menu is: chicken cutlets meatloaf spaghetti w/meatballs lasagna a chicken dish that DH calls chicken a'la Dina (sauteed chicken in lemon-cream sauce w/mushrooms and parsley over linguini) roasted lamb w/lemon potatoes (can you tell I'm greek?)

My DH loves when I make meatballs. (turkey). I also make cheesy chicken and shells casserole, chicken terriyaki nuggets, chicken parm, I also really like to use the slow cooker -in there I have made chicken soup, pork tenderloin, turkey legs.
Lauren, will you share your recipe for the cheesy chicken and shells casserole? that sounds yummy!!!

we often do:
baked ziti pasta with chicken and broccoli linguini and clam sauce beef and broccoli chicken cutlets chicken parm shake n bake chicken
