Your opinion on Miss Cali's Answer on Gay Marriage

For those of you who didnt see it last night. It went like this:
Perez Hilton: “Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?”
Miss Dumb: 'We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised.'
There were reports of boos coming from the audience. A first in pageant history. There was also a lot of applause.
We live in a land where we can choose same-sex marriage or 'opposite' marriage. First of all, wasnt the question about whether other states should follow in the footsteps of Vermont? Meaning NO WE CANNOT choose you stupid ditz. Secondly, what is opposite marriage? Isnt that divorce?
Its fine with me that she stated her opinion but it could have at least been an intelligent answer.

I think its fine for her to believe what she wants to believe. But these girls go into these pageants knowing they will be asked questions. Theres preparation to it. She's a ditz. Marriage and opposite marriage? I cant get over how dumb that was
I wouldn't go as far as calling names especially calling her a ditz. She is beautiful, well educated and she teaches at a CHRISTIAN school. So Perez had to have known what her feelings were about this before he asked this question. Perez says that Ms USA represents all, but one of the best things about the USA is that we have freedom! Freedom of speech, freedom of religion...... Ms Cali is getting more press than the actual winner, so I guess this honest approach is working for her.
She's a ditz. And the questions were chosen at random so I doubt he was able to strategically target her out of everyone else. Being a teacher doesnt make someone well educated. No offense to teachers but I have my reasons to believe this. Maybe she is intelligent but she joined pageant and when it was time for her to show off that intellignece, she BLEW it. I find it sad shes getting more press. It goes to show how this media works. The more negative the press the more attention it gets.

Thats like saying a college education automatically makes you intelligent. I dont know where youre going with this but Im far from a ditz and that was uncalled for. No one attacked you. I know people who teach who cannot have an intelligent conversation.

yup and thats why there is a little button called 'QUOTE' at the bottom of a post so mistakes like these dont happen. Although I think this one was an intentional mistake

Maybe if you didnt edit my original comment and take out certain words it wouldnt be taken with offense. What happened to the 'I KNOW people who teach' Yeah that was an important part of the sentence. Next time quote it as it is. This turned from me commending the girl for saying what she felt to you turning it into me judging her on her beliefs. You must be bored.
That part is obvious of course you know people that teach!! I was quoting what I wanted to bring out was rude. If you are going to type things like that on an open forum, you should be open to people not agreeing with this. I believe that there are plenty of well education, smart teachers out there...some of what are inspirations to me. I also dont believe that you should say teachers cant carrying on a conversation...I have had many great conversations with teachers and I still do. So I disagree with your post. End of discussion

Once again you dissect my sentences to take what you think is offensive. You should try out for Miss USA next time. Like I said I KNOW people who teach. Should I say it in another language? Thereby meaning there are plenty of people who teach in this world (majority of them) who are very very well-spoken and educated. What part of that dont you understand? You brought up the point that Miss Cali was a Christian teacher like it MEANT something. End of discussion here too

I still dont see it. What is your personal vendetta against me anyway? Why did you feel the need? Was I an easy target on a very boring day for you? You also made it seem like she was targeted for being a Christian teacher yet she chose Perez's question out of a bowl. So she wasnt targeted why dont you comment on that, Miss Cali's personal bodyguard

I don't know who the h*ll Perez Hilton thinks he is or why he's above anyone.
