Have any of you or your DH's started your own business? How did you register the name of your biz, and did you set it up officially like a sole proprietorship or a LLC?

I have my own business & so does DH...i am an S-corp and he is set up as an LLC...i registered thru my accountant and he used BizFilings.com
There is also a NYS website that has info...but i just went to it and it is currently down for maintenance...but hopefully it will be back..
