I had mine preserved and its in the big box with the window. I'm glad i had it preserved, but living in a small apartment, that box looks huge!! We have it in a storage closet and it takes up a lot of space!

Re: Your wedding gown... now what! lol

mine was rolled up in a ball since the wedding - this past weekend i needed it so i had the bridal salon do a quick spot clean and press for me (i dont want to say what i needed it for just yet!).....but now its filthy again so i have it folded up neatly around a piece of cardboard which is in a garment bag......im not sure if i should send it out to be cleaned - its been through hell and i already got to wear it twice (which is one time more than most get) - and after this weekend there are some stains on it that probably won't come out as well as missing beadwork from all the wear and tear.....but i do think it would be nice to have it at least cleaned and stored in a nice box......maybe next paycheck ill send it out for me, the only reason to have it cleaned is so that if i ever have a daughter she can play dress up in it like i did with my mom's otherwise i really don't see a reason for it....

i had mine balled up in my mother's closet for five months...finally i decided to have it preserved via WedClean.com

they did a great job. the only thing is that the box is HUGE. it doesnt fit under the bed and i have no room in any closet to store it. so its just sitting in our bedroom next to my nightstand. all obnoxious and in your face

I got a gift certificate at my bridal shower to have it preserved, but I don't really know if I want to keep the dress. I'd like to donate it (I have to look into it). I am not going to wear it again, and I am sure if I have a daughter she won't want to wear it. I feel like maybe there is so bride somewhere who might want to wear it.

I was thinking about doing this as well. I know most ladies like to keep their dress for sentimental reasons, but I guess I'm a little too practical... like you said, no one is ever going to wear it and if I ever want to see it I can just look at my wedding photos. I would love to donate it to someone who may not be able to afford one.
